Kit designers seem determined to make footballers look as ridiculous as possible - this combined with the lamentable haircuts so many of them sport only contributes to the view of non-football fans that the game is full of preening divas.
Oh, well - it's fashion, I suppose.
I've been terminally unfashionable throughout my adult life and have rarely had cause to regret it.
