I was working out a lot 2 years ago, and when I went home my mum noticed I had blue lips after exercising. I needlessly went to the doctors and despite myself not noticing it at all, feeling no discomfort or anything, they took it all very seriously. I must have had 3 ECGs, an exercise test and everything that ran over a few months. Turned out nothing was wrong, and my ECGs were perfectly normal but I just remember thinking thank god they take these things that seriously. Now, I've just got a Hernia, so thats more time not able to lift for fear of strangulating it .
The worrying thing is that symptoms can feel so mild that we ignore them. Usually by thinking "it's only indigestion". It may be but when the heart arteries become blocked, the blood supply is stopped and the muscle beyond the blockage starts to die very quickly. The only way of knowing if the muscle has died and at what rate is to have a blood test for the Troponin enzyme - ECGs can't detect this. Now I know to my cost that even if it may be indigestion then take the GTN spray and if that doesn't relieve it call an ambulance. The doctors, the nurses and all of the paramedics tell you they'd rahter be called to a false alarm than to arrive to find that your heart has stopped! So don't by lazy or wimp-out, if you've got a slight indication - GET IT CHECKED
Right, off the rest of the evening for a bit of superbowl gathering, just another reason to drink, eat unhealthy, and talk ****.
My youngest suffered from Bronchitis (spelling) when he was younger but doctors were unable to diagnose it (he was under three months old). I had to ring emergency doctors a few times because he couldn't breathe properly but eventually had to 999 because he he was struggling so much his lips turned blue. Fair to say, they was at my front door with about four minutes of me ringing and they wouldn't let me off the phone either! #****myselfmuch
I've had to call 999 3 times since my heart attack. Luckily none of them was the real thing. Each time the paramedics said that I'd done the right thing even though I felt a fraud. JUST CALL THEM
We had breathing issues with the oldest too but that just turned out to be croop Equally scary though PS...paramedics said the same to us
We lost to Honduras and while the atmosphere, environment, field, weather, etc was not ideal, we ****ing bottled it. Our defense is AN SHAMBLES at the moment and we still have no clinical forward.
Wow! Talk about not supporting your team, the Mexican fans are booing ( for about 20 minutes now) their team at home! Whether they do something good or bad, they are booing and ole's around for Jamaica!!!
Just read that Phil Neal played 417 consecutive games for us, didn't know that. I can't see that ever being beaten with the way modern football is with the rotation due to the amount of games.
