As soon has i went to that thread i could see GC members swarming all over it, guess i should have thought you guys might not know who they are, but if i say go away, i'm saying it for a reason, however offended you are. If i ban one it will be like a plague of bloody locus! Like i said the situation was contained. So now i'm trying to keep an eye on what they are doing and appease you lot at the same time, no other admin on site....but its my bedtime now so i'm out here.
Looks like either minxy or brb has deleted the thread. Dr, can see Brbs point. If he closes it down then they may just head over to other boards, they were on Chelsea board last week I believe posting s load of crap which bodanki bad to try sort out. It's not ideal having it on prem board but like brb says, easier to contain if one place and one thread. They're like kids give them attention and they'll come back for more, just ignore them and they'll go away.
Also guys, I fully understand where you're both coming from, but the Supermods do a great job on the forum and don't get enough praise for it, don't think I could ever do it as I just wouldn't have the patience, the three Supermods will always have the forums best interests at heart. The GC lot are scum, I avoid them as much as possible. I see where Brbs coming from, I'd prefer to have them all in one place and opposed to having them spread all over the forum.
Well if theydo offer them site bans if they feel the need to post that stuff They can post what they want on GC which is surely enough,,,
Just craving attention, don't get that reaction on GC as they are all used to it so come do it on prem board to get reaction... Just ignore them and they'll disappear in a day or two for another few months and the SMs will do what's needed in the background if anyone consistently steps out of line. If any appear on LFC we'll request bans, just flag it
The site was set up long before 606 closed. The GC area was the original purpose. The rest was added when 606 announced it was closing. It's their site. You know I'll fight tooth and nail when it comes to things such as Hillsborough but they're is nothing we can do with this. BRB took the supermod role with a very clear condition that GC wasn't his area. The other supermods are under his supervision so to speak. It is Mick's site and he'll run it how he wants. He obviously loves the GC part since that was the initial reason for the site and its where he spends his time when on here. They're the landlords and we're the tenants. EDIT: didn't realise you were talking about a thread on the PL board I saw that thread but didn't go near it as I knew what it would be like.
They do a very good bloody job and are vastly under appreciated for it too! People seem to forget that mods are volunteers. They are posters exactly the same as everyone else that uses the site. Supermods are no different yet they don't seem to get much time to enjoy the site in the way they expected to when they signed up. This site would be a ****ing nightmare without them!!!
I never realised all that As the footie boards are more populated than GC though surely it makes sense to keep them separate, if they have to post that stuff- which of course they dont have to
Exactly, ours jobs as mods are piss easy compared to theirs, as there's constantly something coming up. Massive props to the SM, I very much doubt many of us on this board could do what they do, it's just a shame some people don't appreciate them more* *not aimed at anyone on this thread btw.
It's Mick's site mate, it's up to him. We choose to use what he's offered. They are separate too. the supermods often restrict GC users to just the GC area. Genuinely, you have no idea how much the supermods have to do in the background. I have no idea but I know it keeps them very busy!
Fair enough I do appreciate them (especially Minx ) as I do all the mods Just those comments earlier just arent right, if I want GC I can click to go on it and imo it shouldnt be allowed to spill over onto our pages
I didn't see them, I didn't click on the thread. However, I've seen snipets in the Meltdown Thread and on here to know what was said. Glad I want around tbh
