I can only speak from a stage viewpoint but:

    Picture them in their underpants.

Open your eyes wide. It worked for Paul McCartney and Gary Glitter.

Optionally, add eyeliner. It worked for Keith Richard and Alice Cooper.

Repeat the big point three times and frame it as a question, e.g. are you having a good time? I said are you having a good time? I can't hear you, etc. If the response is louder each time you've got them eating out of your hand.

Make them wait for an encore.

Take some performance enhancing drugs, that should help. Stay away from the Viagra.

Haha. Don't go too far down the Gary Glitter route though.
I've been self employed for the last 26 years so thankfully don't have to go through all of that stuff.
    Good luck.<ok>

    Anyone watching Luther on BBC1?

It's a top-notch show and is superbly written.

I'm not so sure now... I think it is a good idea and make the board look tidy but the sticky threads that we had before have not been used as much as they might have if thye were still stickys.

I'm leaning towards the old setup.

I preferred the old setup too, but some of them like the sun and LFC welcome one could probably be unstickied.

Agreed. Keep the Rumours And Transfers, the Anfield Arms Pub Thread and the LFC Today thread. They seemed to be the ones which were used the most.

How about the welcome and photoshop threads? No need to sticky that Sun one though.

But it does seem that the threads that were popular got forgotten about as soon as they were moved into the directory

Agree with you regarding the photoshop thread. I'd forgotten about that one! Sort of proves our point!

But i'm not so sure about the welcome thread. It was a good idea and was used when we had the last of the 606 Liverpool fans come over but now a new member could post a new thread introducing himself instead.

maybe we just need to get used to them being in there. I checked on the newcastle board (busiest board0 and they do it like this too.

Yeah, maybe that's the case. I guess the rumour thread is a prime example. Before the changes, it was getting used on a regular basis and we all had some good discussions on there. After the changes, how many times has it been used? Not much.

The problem is that people will always disagree over which threads should be stickied. Personally I had no problem with the old system- the stickys were clearly defined at the top it didn't seem too messy to me. On the other hand I can live with the current style as well.
No matter what we pick, it won't suit everyone.
