I could not live with the free version, I had it on the new phone until i installed the free premium and it did my nut in, that shuffle play thing that you can't get rid of and the constant feckin ads

It's not great but I can live with it, I do a lot of playlists so that the shuffle thing is ok. Like I said I think about £5 would be fair and loads would then get the full version as it's a good service.

I have loads of music on my laptop but that's gone soon and I'll have to transfer music from my drive to phone or tablet which is ok. Casn't see me keeping premium at the current price.

Yeah all this transferring when you get a new device is an absolute ball-ache. Couldn't be bothered figuring out the playlists thing on Sfy or making any, plus I like listening to albums in the order the artist wants you to listen to the music - not that I don't shuffle or mix around. Just downloaded Vuze so will have a look on there.

The expected kick-off very nearly materialised after the funeral on Wednesday.

Really miss the old style phones with the dial

Very therapeutic putting your finger in the number and hearing the clicks has the circle wound round

Is Pandora blocked outside the US?

No. They have a wide variety of musical genres and cover all decades from way back when until today. If it makes it to Europe I'd recommend giving it a try.

I dunno. Was it like a radio or something. I knew a guy who had us over to dinner one-night when we were over there and he put it on. Maybe he was just stuck in the past.

I dunno if it's over here at all.

Not exactly a radio. You give it examples of songs you like and it plays songs that are similar. You then thumbs up or thumbs down a song.

If you thumbs up a song it remembers that and tunes the algorithm to find you songs suited to you. Thumbs down it skips the song and never plays it again.

Once ever 20 to 30 mins it will play two quick ads or you can pay $30 for a year with no ads.

Works pretty good and not bad at all for free. Certainly good enough I wouldn't waste money on using a paid subscription anywhere. Discovered a lot of artists I liked but had never heard of before using Pandora.
