I don't know that I'm so pumped about Tello... don't get me wrong great prospect for the future but I feel like unless we sign him were just developing someone else's youth while we have our own lacking experience.
Yeah I follow him, he is funny. Probably won't be on much now so good luck to all reds, can't wait till kick off.
My mate works at the WBA ground, he does the catering there and after the Liverpool game he said Andy Carroll asked the stewards to bring his Mercedes to him and he drove off. So basically, he didn't travel with the team..
Do you think he was invited- or do you think he gate-crashed the party? I think that is how El Zhar made the bench when he did... he wasn't invited- he just showed up. Probably slipped a Ruffie to whoever was supposed to be on the bench- so when he showed up (and the guy that was supposed to didn't) he HAD to be included on the bench.
Hope we do well against hearts after that. Don't want to blame anyone in particular but downing is terrible.
Not sure you was looking forward to coming on here today, I certainly wasn't. Not been on since about the hour mark against WBA. Nothing to do with opposition fans on the wind up, that I can tolerate.
Aye, 'twas a feeble attempt at humour. I often don't come on after an embarrassing defeat- I don't mind the funny wums, banter is all a part of football, but some are just tedious. Also I find the doom merchants amongst our own fans start to get me down too. Mostly because I understand how they feel, I sometimes don't know what to say myself because I'm so pissed off. But, we're all disappointed- we wouldn't be fans otherwise- we just have to pick ourselves up and get on with it. I'd still like to nut Phil Dowd though.
I have a really bad feeling about this season, and I'm not saying that in a doom monger way and judging it on one performance. I can see the positives from the WBA game, we controlled it for the first half. But I think several factors may be crucial to us this year. Tough fixtures coming up, if we come out of these with very few points then there could be a lot of pressure, tension and bad vibes coming from the fans. A win at WBA would have released the pressure of getting that first win, now we have to look to City for it. I also get a feeling that bad finishing and the whole 'luck' thing is coming back around to bite us in the arse, could be down to pressure and expectation also. It may never happen. Who knows? We don't seem to be able to fight back after going behind, we don't seem to be able to get consistent good results against lesser team. Think these are all fears from previous seasons, so not really that surprised to be feeling like this.
Also, as much as we hate them and they say a lot of things just to provoke a reaction...some wums do actually speak the truth. They told us we will finish mid table last season, Downing was a joke, Kenny would get sacked. FFS we even had Purely on our match day thread claiming he could see us losing 2/3-0! It's getting to the point where I'm actually starting to believe them.
