The free version of Avast is better. Does a lot more whilst running a lot smoother too.

 

Used it as an excuse to get a new laptop/tablet combo.

old laptop was falling apart with keys coming off and the fan broken so eould overheat and run slow anyway.

Not a big fan of avast either. Had same issues with it but that was a few years ago so things may have improved.
