Had to put my Jack Russell of 11 years to sleep this morning. Been sick for 4 days touch and go but his liver finally gave out and time to let him go, centre of attention in the house which is now eerily quiet. So since I'm a big girls blouse think I'll get very drunk and watch the match and then maybe cry a bit...unless Liverpool lose and I might cry a bit earlier lol...but definitely getting very drunk.
Sincere condolences mate. It's the worst part of being a pet lover, having to lose a number of them during our lifetimes due to the massive difference in life expectancy. People who aren't pet lovers just think we're a bit mad, but it is like losing a close friend and we grieve in the same way. Enjoy your bevvy fella
**** news, frank. I still remember my Jack Russell/corgi cross Kim like it was yesterday. She was 17 when we had to let her go.
Not had a dog as an adult. Lost my cat a couple of years ago, collapsed one morning, panting making funny noises and couldn't move. It had hyperthyroidism which it was being treated regularly for. Vet thought it was too much for its heart and liver in the end so that was that. Always a shock even if you know they're slowly going downhill.
Fair play, Frank. That's a horrible thing to happen. My Auntie has recently lost both her two dogs in the space of 1 month, if not slightly less. I think getting ****faced is the right call!
