Going first (or one of the first) is better because not only does it get it out of the way, it gives you the opportunity to wind the others up too
I went second (out of our group of five) when I did our recent abseil. The later three were all ****ting it and its fair to say, I didn't help TBF though, one of those three did do a second abseil afterwards (as did I and the lad that went first) and seemed to enjoy it in the end

St. Augustine is nice! Got a great crocodile/alligator zoo there- every species of Croc, alligator and Cayman in the world there... they also do a crocodile show where they have trained crocs (or was that an alligator show? Don't remember). Been camping at the beach there- Anastasia Island. Great Place! France surrendered? That never happened again did it?
