No clue... suspect it is something to do with circulation though... I know beer/wines have nitrates that can mess with circulation... never really brought it up to doctors... My feet and lower legs sometimes burn at night even when I haven't drank beer/wine... but always when I do. I usually sleep with my feet poking out from under the covers to cool down. White wine is the worst. Red not so bad- beer in between.

Cider affects me a little too if I drink enough, although not so bad. I don't think it is alcohol itself- because I can drink Rum, Whiskey, etc and not get the pain. Homemade beers don't bother me as much as commercial beers either. (although do a little). It's something that is put into beers and wines.

I've never been a heavy drinker- I don't miss wine much... but a nice stout beer I do a little. Occasionally I'll have a beer even knowing what it will do to me.

Fosters is the devil so can't be blasphemed against.

    (more accurately, the devil's urine)

    I love Amaretto!

I thought they were just going to play some football (what with this being a football forum and all) and Minxy just likes a hard tackle.

Not a WUM but an observation, just noticed that twice in the last 11 years you guys have finished runners up in the PL.
Each time, the next season, you have a stinker of a season and finish outside the top 4.
    2002 Runners up - 2003 Finish 5th
    2009 Runners up - 2010 Finish 7th
Think you will break that pattern this time around? :p

Hopefully, mate. It's a fair point. I've predicted we'll finish 5th this year, but I'm being as conservative as I can. I'd like to think we'll stay in the top 4. We'll just have to see. <ok>

ermmmmmm 2002 to 2003 is houllier territory, 2009 t o 2010 is G&H and rafa.... there is no correlation over time to suggest such a pattern..

HOWEVER... I have decided to wind everyone up here by saying there is a scenario i can see that rodgers can get the sack this year. he's one bad decision this window away from a scenario where sturridge gets injured and he doesn't win a game for 10 games. it could happen... conversely (as I was winding lads up) I can see a scenario where we absolutely fly as we've solved out defensive issues....

If lads go mad i said rodgers could be sacked more fool them cos they never asked me for clarification of what i mean nor challenged me on it. <whislte> #stimulatingdebate

Yes we bloody did, you just chose to ignore it.
I think we were all incredulous rather than wound up.

On a different note, had a text from RHC to say that Zingy didn't show.
Now, either Zingy chickened out or RHC is only pretending because he's kidnapped him to "star" in a home-made German GrannyPorn snuff film.

2002? didn't we win the treble year before so finishing 2nd next season, not letting you have that one lol.

rest get back to you on <laugh>

just remembered, 2009 was when we had arseholes in charge and finishing runners up had no ruddy funds to improve on what we achieved, this time round we have been given funds but lost a world class player, so time will tell i suppose if that will have an impact, get no ruddy striker in i think it will.

I'm maintaining the opinion that Zingy is just frigid and was scared of meeting RHC's daughter in case she wanted to do him!

no i think by the time i got back to my computer from working it'd moved 3 pages on....

I would hope incredulous at least stimulates debate. <laugh>

IF the following scenario occurred There are probably 1/3 of prem clubs that sack their managers (rightly or wrongly)

    1. Sign wilfred bony... or insert samuel e'tto here.

    2. september 1 sturridge gets injured for 3 months... his injury last year as close to this, not quite but close btw.

    3. we then end up in the europa after failing to get many goals in the CL...

    4. We are 6th or 7th 15 points min off the top by christmas...

Now sorry but spurs have sacked lads for less.... <laugh> You tell me there's not a scenario that we could end up in that rodgers is unsackable... i dare ya! ;) c'mon if rodgers at back thinking he was untouchable performances would suffer... he knows himself what he needs to do. The whole club must perform and the guy who's head is on the block is not ian ayre.. its brendan rodgers.

So fail and the pressure comes on, succeed and you are everyones hero.

As, I said before. If Studge gets injured and we end up dropping down the table because we have no decent replacement- I don't think Rodgers would get sacked unless he was the reason we had no new striker. If he's been asking Ayre to sign a striker and Ayre hasn't been able to make a deal float... FSG won't sack Rodgers.

Now, if Rodgers asks for Eto'o'o'o; Studge gets injured and Eto'o stinks up the place and we drop down the table... THEN that would be his fault- and if we drop below 6th I could see Rodgers being on thin ice.

I really need to believe we are a bit better than sacking a manager -who got us from 7th to 2nd so quickly- at the first whiff of trouble.
At this stage of a new season, on the back of a great one and with all the excitement of seeing how it all goes in the next few weeks, I can't believe that we're even seriously debating this, tbh.

I think it unlikely Rodgers were sacked. If we dropped back down to 7th- I can see it being a scenario that might happen. They got rid of Kenny after he got us to two cup finals because he didn't procure a top 4 finish. I don't think anything above that FSG would sack Rodgers... but I think they would consider it (not necessarily do it) if we dropped to 7th or below.

I definitely think they would consider the reasons behind the drop too. In MITO's example where Studge gets injured and we don't have a backup striker... if that's the reason we drop- and Rogers was asking for a striker and FSG/Ayre didn't do their part- no they wouldn't sack him for that.

I very rarely go on other team's boards but popped onto the saints board after lamballana asked us to visit his match thread. Left a comment then had a look at the 'Liverpool banter' thread - utterly disgusted, when is this going to stop.

Have highlighted the comment to one of their mods and asked them to deal with it. To be fair, it's only one of their supporters.

And yes it is only one fan but why do all the others keep quiet without rounding on him?? Silence is acquiescence.
