Phew... We needed that! The match thread went a bit mental but I think we all expected that after a game like that! Hopefully we can kick on now. Big game on Saturday.
Football fan in paece. Am I the only one to think Dalgliesh was wrong in ignoring Doni when he was sent off, just refusing to look at the guy. After all, Doni had committed hari-kiri for him, having been sold down by the river by Flanners. Had he not fouled Yakubu, it was a Blackburn goal, and as it happened, what he did won the match eventually. Does anyone else think that "King Kenny" is unworthy of his throne?
KD is under pressure bigtime,he also immediately subbed Flannagan as well as snub Doni. Also Doni said only last week he wants a move(which also wouldn't endear him to his manager. Kenny will always be our king,he never got the title because hes in his second term as our manager,so look at his wiki page and enlighten yourself.
I dont think its a good idea to hold a minutes silence for Hillsborough before the Spurs v Chelsea semi. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17672088 A lot of Chelsea fans are not happy that they have to play on sunday instead of playing saturday which would have given them an extra day to prepare for the Barca CL game. But we have held our Hillsborough commemoration at Anfield on the 15th of April since 1990 and wont change that,im not saying the Chelsea support aren't decent people but their feelings might mean a less than silent minute on sunday evening. The FA should have just left it to us and the blues imo.
What a wild game that was! I will be busy all day with coaching ( could be good news for us!). ****ing Tournaments.
I stupidily missed the game because I lost track of time whilst playing Fifa. However, with it not being a Saturday game, it was shown on LFC TV at midnight so it is fair to say I feel knackered today! Glad I stayed up to watch it though. Brilliant start, two goals from Maxi (what was it a lot of us had been asking for again?) before the worst attempt at gathering the ball by a keeper I have seen in a long time, pulled back to 2-2 then bang, the big gypo smashed home in injury time. Fantastic! I thought Flanno had a poor game, was lucky to start on the pitch after being booked and making a very silly challenge and then made the stray pass that resulted in the first penalty and the red card for Doni. I think last nights performance by Henderson was the best we have seen since he joined. Absolutely fantastic in a unfamiliar position. Was impressed with Carroll too. Constantly winning the ball and bringing others into play, only times he didn't do that he won a free-kick. One final thought...THREE POINTS BABY!
Thing is Davies is a complete arsehole and he's keeping the issue in the headlines instead of keeping his head down. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-Hillsborough-comment-continues.html?ITO=1490 The threats dont help and those making them will probably be caught and punished, but what of the instigator?
All the comments surrounding the issue seem to point towards other teams not playing during their disasters and we should "get over it". It's ridiculous, people remember and mourn in their own way. I bet these same people were the ones up in arms when England was told they couldn't wear poppies on the shirt...or they complain when certain christmas lights are taken down to not offend other religions in this country. Haven't seen what everyone is saying, but that gunner.b.alright should not be welcome on this board...ever.
Numerous things, he seems to be the most vocal about the subject...couldn't quote what he said without going on their board which I don't want to do. Londonsfinest is no better either.
I haven't heard or read his comments, nor do I wish to. I was just replying to your previous comment Good to hear that his £1,000 apology donation has been refused, nice to see that morales stand above money
