I think you should get in there and poison his porridge, Eric. Seriously, I'm a bit surprised at how clueless he seems. I always thought Moyes was a decent manager, just that he might struggle a bit filling Fergie's hobnailed boots. However, when he comes out with stuff like " I don't know what happened" and "It's not what I expected" he starts to sound bewildered and out of his depth. More and more like Roy for us, in fact. Despite adversity, a manager needs to come up with a more spirited response than that- he can't inspire his players when he sounds so forlorn. I think the way you play on Wednesday will be quite telling, it'll be interesting to see if he can bring a little fight back. To himself and his players.
Or this classic "People say we have to win by 3 on Wed, if we win 2 nil it goes to extra time" Or something like that
I read an article saying how the singing at the end of the game was quite sad (not my opinion) saying that it really marked an end of an era.
Was that the 'singing section?' And ... Can you find something to paint before every game now please ...
I never thought Moyes was good enough for Everton, to go to the biggest team in the prem, what was he thinking? I still maintain that fergie knew exactly what he was doing despite tobes denial ...
I don't think it is but even if it was, would they just click into gear again? If they did then thats speaks volumes of the players attitudes.
It was never going to be an easy transition but it seems/seemed obvious, to me at least, that Moyes just isn't the right fit. I've always said he needs to go and manage Celtic [or Rangers] get a taste for what it's like to win, then come back to the prem if that's where he wants to be. If he was sacked, where do you see him going next?
