Smithy strikes me as a bit of a kid and I'm surprised he's lasted so long on here. Tobes on the other hand has either taken a short break to prove he's not really that committed ... or .... he's catching up with the gossip on rawk.
I think it's a shame to have to ban someone but sometimes he just took over the whole thread, or several threads. The pointless one-liners just aimed at throwing people are silly and childish. I think you've done the right thing because he was getting on my tits, but it's a pity he couldn't just get the message and be a bit more mature.
I get the feeling I missed something about betting and odds dave/tobe related - it's come up a few times on various threads. Was it a classic or just your average run of the mill dave/tobes encounter?

It could be classed as a spectator sport in it's own right - dave v tobes one week then tobes v dave the next. They could even take it on tour of the boards so a fuller fixture list could be drawn up.
