PUNDITS AND THE CHATTERING CLASSES Oh may it long continue that the pundits, the media in general and 'fans' of other teams who visit here fail to see why we are happy with what's happening at LFC. The pundits on Radio 5 Live spend more time explaining why the don't believe that we can win the Title than they do explaining why they think some other side may. It's so bloody simple and obvious that they are too thick to notice that neither we or the club have ever said that we WILL win the Title this season. What we have said is that we CAN win the Title. Rodgers has stated over and over again that his target is to stay in the fight for one of the top 4 spots. Does he need to write it in blood on the side of The Kop before they will believe him? We are nowhere near the finished article - yet! But for the first time in a very long time we truly have options in all departments of our squad. We don't need to have a good day and our opponents a poor one to compete. We have learnt to let our opponents worry about us rather than us changing to meet their strengths. We are learning to put away those sides that we should be beating. Sure things go wrong (Southampton and Hull come to mind) but that's football for you. But we are on our way. So let's keep it going today. A good performance and either 1 or 3 points would be very acceptable because we WILL get in to the Top 4 and we CAN win the Title.
