......and now I hate brb = http://www.footballgroundguide.com/leagues/bescot-banks-stadium-walsall.html#aticket-prices scroll down and click on 'away' tickets -- it is a Cat B game https://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/news/2017/november/walsall-tickets/ looks like btb is right - GFC have broken the law - they clearly have shown a different ( 50p) price for tickets than shown on the Walsall O/S - without stating why. edit - I also hate Dozy Dick
I did tell yer they was breaking the law mate If you add a booking fee at the office, they need to advise you...it's a simple few seconds conversation. They cannot just assume you have looked online.
Now I think they're making it up as they go ---- or they've heard that brb has rumbled the 'booking fee' scam ------ the Blackpool ticket prices are the same on both teams' Official sites -- and no hint of a booking fee ---I think they realised that it confused Dozy Dick http://www.footballgroundguide.com/leagues/bloomfield-road-blackpool.html#aticket-prices https://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/news/2017/november/blackpool-tickets/
While i was looking, i saw the Oldham tickets advertised, so it appears you pay 50p....yesterday grumpygit mentioned they were £1.00 online, for the Oldham game they are showing as 75p confused.com
I think this needs clarifying, the O/S shows a booking fee of £1... (50p if your a season ticket holder) for bookings made by phone , there is no mention of a booking fee for online sales or buying in person from the ticket office, any attempt to extort additional fees not advertised is illegal.
grumpygit - you are mistaken ! I've just checked ( online ticketing ) - and there is a 75 pence transaction / booking fee........ the £1 and 50 p 'fees' do indeed relate to telephone bookings.................. it's all a con !
OK - brb ( et al ) - I got shafted - and by a Dozy Dick ---- there - I'm an idiot - satisfied ? - now if you continue to extract urine be prepared for when I 'follow through'
"Your COMPLETE guide to buying GFC match tickets online" That is the way the club describe the guide, nowhere in the guide mentions a fee for buying online, hidden charges that appear only when making the purchase are a fraudulent attempt to conceal the true cost. https://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/tickets/online-buying-guide/
Surely any fees should already be built in to the face value of a ticket, why do we even have online booking fees, surely it is cheaper for the seller if we purchase online than it is to pay someone wages to serve us in person. But let's appease the online tickets and say it is to cover postage...so how come i pay the booking fee for every ticket i purchase but they stick them all in the same envelope for delivery! Booking fees in general are a rip off and clubs don't like it if we misuse our ticket and we don't like add on charges. I guess all this booking fee moaning suggests the club is playing well at the moment
There is one area where I break the rules every match I attend, I always have a phone in my pocket. "No person may bring into the ground, or use within the ground, any equipment which is capable of recording or transmitting (by digital or other means) audio, visual, or audio-visual material or any information or data in relation to the match, or the ground."
