Perhaps if we could get this guy on the cheap he might wake up and start scoring goals again for us - may just require a little "man management" with Rosie? please log in to view this image
I think you'll plough about £40-£50m extra debt in this season. I think you'll go for Livermore, Dawson and Rose from Spurs and make a cheeky bid for Huddlestone.
I would go for the lad at Forest Lascelles but he will go higher up the food chain ... i like Morgan Schneiderlin, Mickaël Landreau, Mathieu Valbuena, Rio Mavuba Rio could happen Morrison could Kranky won't Doyle might. Hill will retire into coaching with us BAE won't Barton should go to France as his value has risen and he is wise enough to know where to bring up his son IMO I agree 6 upwards needed and a lot of this squad will be in high demand from championship clubs Won't be saying 8th next season as maybe the league now has a top 9 a middle lot and a few no hopers and there could be only points again that separate the lower half. Villa are in serious trouble as are WBA and I can't see the foxes doing that well. I predict a lot of movement regs and fine aside. I wouldn't rule out Townsend as a massive signing plus Saints will be cherry picked heavily IMO they may struggle It will be a mad summer
TF said a few weeks ago the debt could be written off. Only Dawson is likely if Redknapp stays, the rest are under 30.
Guess you'll be updating your "out" list then Flyer... seems you've had a change of heart on Barton and Zamora!
I think Frank Lampard would be a good signing(for the short term),the man is a top proffessional and his experience would be priceless for the younger players.
Decent but injury prone, still its better than fat frank and oap Rio which will show weve learnt nothing.
Another name doing the rounds is Harry Kane, right age and scored a few at the end of the season... http://www.tottenhamblog.com/2014/05/26/qpr-promotion-could-herald-spurs-raid/?
I agree totally. A player as yet unproven in the EPL, with plenty of pedigree. Hungry to prove himself and young enough to develop. Connor Wickham looked solid, skilful and full of goals when he played for Leeds United against us earlier in the season. I don't think Sunderland would release him though. Another that fills the specification above.
Here's one for the fantasy XI... http://www.footballdirectnews.com/premier-league-news/50310-qpr-eye-city-striker.php
If you think about Simpson, Austin and Phillips (before his injury), these are the sorts of signings I'd like to see more of, although I wouldn't mind some experience in there too - but please not Rio Ferdinand.
Here's how my 25 squad would shape up (including new signings, in bold): GK: Green, Kuszczak (out of contract, free), Murphy Defence: Simpson, Yun, Caulker (Cardiff, worth spending) Onuoha, Dunne, Wisdom (year loan from Liverpool), (Byram, Leeds) , Hill (coach, used only in emergencies) Midfield: Phillips, Hoilett, Kranjcar, Traore, Barton, O'Neil, Snodgrass (Norwich, worth the fee)*, Faurlin, Thorne (Derby) Strikers: Austin, Zamora, Kane (Year loan, Tottenham), Borini (Liverpool) One space left - Couldn't decide between Doyle/Ravel, or another of the targets listed below*. *Would be tempted by McGugan, Ince (unlikely to come to us when talking to Milan!), or Sinclair (Man City) if Snodgrass was unavailable. This would involve brining the following in on free transfers: Kuszczak Wisdom Kane But paying for the following, which should be affordable with transfer fees expected incoming for Remy, Taarabt and Granero (I'd guess £20m in total, mostly from Remy) plus promotion money: Caulker (£8m) Snodgrass (£8m) Byram (£2m) Thorne (£4m) Borini (Not sure we'd get him - maybe on loan) Edit: This would also involve freeing up wages from Remy, Granero, Park, Taarabt, Carroll, Hughes, Luke Young, BAE, SWP, Jenas, Henry, Yossi, Johnson and Maiga. So I suspect our wage bill would go down significantly, despite signings posited above! Hoorah!)
