    Fair play, that 25/1 EW shot put me marginally up for the day. I don't actually like to have a flutter, if I can't watch it. It's part of the appeal, for me.

    Some good EW bets to get on tomorrow where bookies are paying the first 5 placed in some races. In the stewards cup, I like the look of GROWL at 12/1. It's the combination of Richard Fahey and Paul Hannigan which I always look for in a big field. In the first race they've also teamed up on MILITIA at 10/1. This horse is only 3 and looks like it still has a lot of improvement in it yet. I'll back them both to win singles and an EW double.

    When was the last time Sunderland finished above Man Utd? I don’t think I or perhaps even my dad, was born the last time it may have happened.
