The folks behind these banks own also in the top 10 stock holders in every single fortune 500 company. I like that brand has tried to use his position to do what he sees as improving things. I think more people should be engaged and have views on things and get involved. But he is an absolute tit with no idea what he is talking about. He showed on question time that he is out of his depth around those who have some clue about how the real world works. He couldn't answer a single question asked by the audience and instead reeled off his pre thought up points when they weren't relevant and used the opportunity to attack farage at every opportunity, again even when it wasn't relevant to the current discussion. I'm all for celebs getting involved in helping people or having views, but he is acting like some kind of political messiah and people are lapping it up, despite him having no idea how to deal with any of the issues he raves about.

Banker bonuses are paid by the banks with bank money, not by the government or with taxpayer money. The bailout means the government owns large chunks of certain banks, those banks have payed a LOT out in bankers bonuses so I get where the frustration comes from. But the government will sell off the shares it owns at a higher rate than it has paid for them resulting in a profit for the government and by extension the tax payer, in the long run. Your post is trying to mislead people into thinking the government is making cuts and pumping that money directly into banker bonuses to pay there rich buddies, which just isn't the reality.

This is how you control the events without having to bring everyone in on a huge conspiracy, the people taking part in these training events actually beleived they were involved in training events that turned into real attacks, "on the same places wit the same tools, at the same time". I know he has said he doesn't have the answers, I've taken an interest in Russell brand and his political views a lot longer than his recent publicity surrounding it. I don't agree with most of what he says (though he has hit the nail on the head on a couple of issues), but I do think those with a platform to speak who want to try and improve things should have the right to do so. I do think issues should be discussed, I do think there is a lot wrong, but brand isn't the genius lots of people think he is. He hasn't got a clue how the real world works and he'd be better reading up more on the topics he is interested in so that he can make a real impact rather than looking totally out of his depth the moment he gets a chance to prove himself on the big stage. As for planted questions, I couldn't care less what the questions were, he failed to answer any questions asked by the audience. He completely ignored the people and just spouted his usual anti banking stuff when it was totally irrelevant to the discussion.

As I pointed out, in taking on NI I support Brand too, and align myself with both of you - on this issue. Just didn't want other posters not to realise the subtlety of that. And I DON'T support the complete official line on 9?11. The US knew something would happen -just not that. But, as Tobes says, we saw the rest with our own eyes, despite your assertion of hypnotic drones, pre-designed exploding close buildings and suchlike.
