Both clowns with bizarre beliefs. One a little more moronic than the other to be fair. Bye bye Nile, not long now. But Richardson? <laugh> Whatever floats your boat I suppose but I find religion just plain silly. All the good stuff in it that helped form our societies is was necessary and really gave us structure to progress. Unfortunately the rest of the bullshit that comes with it now means the whole idea of religion is just laughable to many. Its had its day.

I am not religious but i wouldn't mind seeing Ricco's t-shirt every week if he is going to show it when he scores!

I agree with a lot of other posters though, if this makes him happy then good for him

I do actually Billy because I think it is something that is good for the kids and the family time it entails. There are lots of good things to be admired in religious teachings in terms of moral standpoints and other aspects. I'm basically happy to rape and pillage, take the good stuff and leave what I see as the bollocks. The two things don't have to come as a package. Many families now take some of the great things about Christmas but leave the religious stuff out. Its all good and its a mute point anyway because the very fact Christmas is what it is now, means its far detached from any religious teachings intentions.

As I say whatever floats anyones boat is fine with me. I just find the whole believing in some god thing illogical based on what we know. If someone finds comfort in all that bollocks that is entirely their choice. I think no less of them, they're entitled to their choices. Wouldn't stop me laughing at someone who says "I was saved in Sunderland" <laugh> Jesus our own Ben Arfa joined some fanatical sect while in France, the little loon.

I recall Phil Gunter of Portsmouth in the late 1950s was a dedicated Christian and wouldn't play on Christian Holidays such as Good Friday.

More recent there was Gavin Peacock - Toon / Chelsea etc

    Each to his own.

My point is that if a person gets comfort out of it then good luck to them.
Like I say I'm not entirely sure tbh but I have catholics, prods, jews & shiks among my friends.

The subject of religeion hardly ever comes up.

The only time I have a problem with it is when it turns to hate & they start preaching that. <ok>

As I say I have no problem with most religious beliefs or people who hold them. Plenty relatives/friends find comfort in religion. They don't preach to me, and I wouldn't lecture them. Just a very funny story.

Although I am not a Christian, or any other religious persuasion for that matter, I respect the fact that others see things differently to myself.

Im not a religious person. Not in any way shape or form. But if Ricco wants to be thats fine by me.

The whole t-shirt thing is a little off putting I have to say, I just think faith should be a very private thing.

Religion is a bit like a penis....

    It's ok to have one,
It's ok to be proud of it.
But please dont wave it around in public,
And in the name of all things holy, Dont shove it down peoples throats.
