Haha, the stupid thing is I know that, not sure what happened there, was gonna blame predictive text but when I typed it, it came out as Alcatraz so I can't use that excuse!
I'm gonna call him Alcatraz anyway. Cos it's cool

We are also unbeaten at Goodison since last year!In the Premier League, every time we have played at Goodison Park and the Southampton manager has had the surname Jones, we have won.
Hope for the best prepare for the worst. It's an unusual position I find myself in.
I'm all for positivity; I'm possibly the board optimist despite a strong recent return to form from TIOON7 and an excellent showing from lewebster amongst others. In spite of that I'm trying to keep level throughout this. I firmly believe we'll be fine but, in the same way that I say it's not over till the fat lady sings, our recovery isn't over yet. We do need to be prepared mentally for more setbacks before we cross the line.

But back on positivity...
JWP was clearly off the boil for a while and his free kicks stopped going in. As a result, teams felt more able to stop us with fouls around the box.
I suspect after a couple of belting free kicks from him that teams will revert to defending much more carefully inside JWP range. Result: more opportunities for the others.

3 wins in 3 against Premier League teams.
Not just winning but winning well. Add to that second on MOTD with good reports from the pundits and it must be a woke leftist conspiracy.A win against fellow strugglers.
Came from behind to win.
Scored 2 goals again, that's 6 in last 3 matches.
JWP!
Getting closer to Beckham's record, reckon this can be broken this season!
The passion from players, manager, coaches and fans.
The way JWP pushed NJ towards the fans to get the adulation.
Only just spotted this threadThings have not been great in 2022 and before to be fair but it's now a new year and I for one want more positivity.
Please add to this thread as and when you have anything positive to say, nothing negative please as there are plenty of threads for that without infiltrating this one.
There will always be positives in anything, sometimes you may have to look at things a bit differently but they are there.
Here are my positives since NJ took charge.
Scoring a goal in every game.
Results heading in the right direction(3-1, 3-1 and 2-1 losses).
Not even halfway through the season.
Transfer window is now open, let's see what we can do.
3 points and we are out of the bottom 3.
JWP scored a free kick and knocked in his penalty rebound against Brighton.
Bazunu saved a penalty.
I'm almost getting worried about MOTD putting us second, prefer to be under the radar. But, heck, we've waited long enough and have plenty to be proud of over these last 7 days, so I'll simply have a wry smile on my face when I watch that game, again on iPlayer!!Not just winning but winning well. Add to that second on MOTD with good reports from the pundits and it must be a woke leftist conspiracy.
