Well it's now Monday and I'm still angry about Saturday, what really 'got my goat' was when Adams after the match refered to it as 'a nothing game' on more than one ocassion, try telling that to the 1200 or so that travelled all that way to watch that sh1t. My blood is boiling still this morning and my anger is vented more towards our inept board tbh. It seems that since McNally got a seat on the board Saint Delia has got him by the b0ll0cks if you ask me, what happened to that ruthless streak he once had ? This whole managerial appointment debacle stinks if you ask me and I truly believe that Delia and MWJ have taken this club as far as they can and should officially put the club up for sale. Fact is though, regardless of the soundbites that come from Carrow Road, she doesn't want to sell and should any investor come forward she would give them short shrift.
Adams unfortunately will be sacked IMO but it won't happen until the play-offs are an unrealistic achievment, he will be the sacrificial lamb even though it's the people that put him in position in the first place that are truly to blame. Just like Gunny an ex playing legend and club man will leave under a cloud.

P.S. Those of us who wanted Neil Lennon before Adams was appointed have probably been proven right as he's certainly turned Bolton's fortunes around, can't imagine him standing for that inept display Saturday without getting out the 'hair dryer'
 
I think when he said it was a nothing game, he meant it as how the game was being played out rather than the match itself not being important. Nothing was happening for either side during the game until Preston scored and that is what Adams was referring to. I'm not defending Adams here but the way it came across was a bit misleading.

I think Adams is coming across in the media as being disrespectful,
which is rather surprising as he seemed quite articulate and always
came across very good when on the local radio.

Perhaps he needs to rethink his approach to post match
interviews as phrases like "a nothing game"(Bolton) and
"we should be beating them"(Reading) do not do him
any favours.
 
Seems to me that when things were going well, Adams had no problem saying all the right things at all the right times, no surprise about that, whatever. But when we hit our first sticky patch, his immaturity began to show through and he started to put his foot in it when interviewed after matches, etc etc, and he´s now doing the same thing again. As well as being more judicious in what he says, he really does need to know when to open his mouth up and particularly when not to.

But none of this should really surprise any of us, he was at the very best, a risky choice at the time, his inexperience was bound to shine through in some way, and at some time or other. Certainly at the moment he´s finding our uphill struggles on the pitch, hard to explain away, and in most interviews I´ve listened to, he doesn´t seem to have got any answers.
 
It is total rubbish like this which makes my blood boil. Last point first - City in Dec W3 D1 L1. Bolton in Dec - W2 D2 L1. Lennon has too much baggage plus he is bringing in players like Heskey. Can you imagine the uproar if Adams brought in Heskey. In view of her age it is daft to say that she wouldn't sell her shares to someone who had the interests of the Club at heart but she wouldn't sell to just anybody. Presumably you would be happy to see her sell out to the likes of Cullum, Fernadez ( doing a good job of bankrupting QPR ) or that Lawyer who turned out to be a crook. Please name me one wealthy Norwich supporter who would take on the job. I can't so you are looking for somebody outside the area. Everton have been up for sale for years as have Glasgow Rangers and, more recently, Villa. Many other clubs are looking for new owners without success - why would anybody be interested in buying us apart from an asset stripper? Forgotten Coventry, Portsmouth et al already have we? I'm not happy with our in and out form but for goodness sake get a grip. Whether we should be doing better is arguable but we are 7th in the league only 3 points off the play offs which is hardly a disaster. I just get pissed off with the attitude that when we win 6-1 and 5-0 it is because the opposition is poor, when we outplay and draw away from home against what most people consider to be the best team in the league it is ' papering over the cracks ' but as soon as we put in a couple of poor performances - and the last 2 have been very poor - it is sack the Board, shoot Delia, sack the Manager etc etc. Get a grip on reality and stop over reacting every time we have a bad performance.

I hear what you say 1950 and trust me I really don't want to fall out with you or any other Poster for that matter, but would ask:
  • Were you happy with Adams' appointment ?
  • Do you really believe that the board 'scoured Europe' for Hughton's replacement ?
  • Notwithstanding that no-one has come forward, do you honestly think Delia would sell if they did ?
  • Do you think that we should stick by Adams even if we lose the next 2-3 games?
  • Are you happy with the apparent limited ambition of our board ?
  • Do you subscribe to the 'little Norwich' philosophy that we have no right to ever consider ourselves as a 'big' club with the expectation of competing at the top level on a regular basis ?
  • Were you one of those that consistantly harked back to our 'ten game unbeaten run' last term when so many fans were clamouring for him to be relieved of his duties leading up to Christmas ?
  • Were you one of those that was still behind the last manager right until the bitter end when it was also obvious to many that he should have been sacked before last Christmas ?
  • Do you consider Neil Adams a better appointment than that of Neil Lennon ?
I happen to think that for the most part your answers to these questions would be a resounding 'YES!"

For what it's worth my opinions are: NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO !
 
1) No but I couldn't think of anyone better who was available then or, for that matter, now after Pulis has gone to WBA. Who do you want to come in?
2) Possibly and possibly not but that doesn't bother me bearing in mind the hit and miss record of such appointments. Who did you have in mind?
3) Yes Yes and Yes AS LONG AS it is the sort of person who has the long term interests of the Club at heart. Who do you think would like to take us over?
4) 2 or 3 games no HOWEVER 4 of the 5 next games should be possible wins. If after the next 5 games we are more than 6 points off the play offs then perhaps the position will need to be reviewed although I would still be inclined to give him to at least the end of the season. If, after the next 5 games, we are still 3 points or less off the playoffs would you still want him sacked?
5) I don't accept that a plan of getting in the Premiership and staying there for as long as possible is ' limited ambition ' Was letting both Hughton and Adams spend the sums they did limited ambition?
6) Factually we are not a big Club and realistically there are over 20 Clubs bigger than us either because of current position or potential. We have no divine right to be in the Premiership and like many others can expect to be no better than a so called yo-yo club. Looking

Forget all this - he has resigned
