The Express are looking at the odds for the first Manager to be sacked this season. Pep is a long-shot at 100/1 Klipperty at 80/1 Poch at 50/1 Dick Emery and Marizio Sarri at 33/1 Jokanovic, Dyche, Hodson and Howe at 20/1 Santo, Silva and Pelligrini at 18/1 Wagner and Hughton at 16/1 Hughes, who for some reason the Express thinks manages Stoke City 12/1 Benitez, Warnock and Gracia at 8/1 Puel at 7/1 Maureen 5/1 Any takers?
Hughes to be sacked by Stoke at 12/1? Can I back against that, please? Mourinho's favourite for the boot?
Man Utd are not the Poool, so this is not easy Mouser money for the bookies. So I assume they are trying to drum up some 'mischief' betting, or somebody has bet big on it and they have dropped the odds accordingly.
Bookies don't often get it wrong, notwithstanding that 5/1 are long odds for a favourite, only races like the Grand National one would find such odds.
Sort of like how they slashed the odds of Harry Kane joining Man Utd to just 4/1 over the weekend. As for the first manager to go, it wouldn't surprise me if Benitez thought "a la mierda esto" and handed in his resignation by October.
I could be wrong, but I don't think it's really his style. I can see him calling time there at the end of the season if it doesn't work out, though. I don't even think that the Newcastle fans would be too critical of him for doing it, assuming that they have a reasonable campaign.
Not surprising Jose is favourite. He's hitting that stage where he slates 90% of the players at his club. Klopp will also be under huge pressure as well. After being a total hypocrite with his big money signings, he has to deliver now, a bad start and **** will get on top of him.
The Kop will turn on Klopp if they have yet another trophyless season. Dick Emery has to finish top 6 or he will be out. Mourhino has already begun pounding hard at his self-destruct button. Either his squad will respond, or he will walk. Most United fans find the bloke an embarrassment and a liability, so it will be interesting to see if his players feel any differently towards him or if the slatings work.
Real Madrid and Croatia midfielder Mateo Kovacic, 24, will not join Manchester United because he does not want to play under Jose Mourinho. (Marca) The writing is on the wall or perhaps the fat lady is tuning up. Barcelona technical director Eric Abidal has denied he met Paul Pogba, 25, to discuss a transfer for the Manchester United and France midfielder. (Mundo Deportivo - in Spanish), yeah bullsh!te. The rats are about to start leaving the sinking ship..
Not so well, if I’m being honest, Bodi. Sometimes, there simply is no way to disguise the pain and hurt exposed by the truth.
And how will the Yids react to Poch after yet another trophy less season? Surely it will be the same, or do you have no ambition?
The Titanic was doing rather well, about to break the record for the crossing the Atlantic until it ran into an iceberg. I blame the guy in charge.
Difference is Poch hasn’t been backed financially anywhere near the extent Klopp has. I know they sold Coutinho for huge money but he’s basically bought 1/3 of a new starting 11 since January.
Us Yids know that we're in a transition phase. If Poch can keep us competitive, we will be happy. Money is going to be tight for a while. We all know and understand that. Klopp, on the other hand, has absolutely no excuses.
By flooding other club's boards and Twitter feeds asking where their trophies are and whether their fans will put up with another trophyless season. Sort of like what fans of Arsenal, Saltypool and Man Utd have been doing to us in a way that doesn't in any way make them look like insecure crybabies...
