I agree with this - but i'll bet they made more money on CL tickets than they lost selling season books at £100 less. I've not seen the numbers but if they sold a few more season books than usual due to reduced price they probably made nearly as much season ticket money this year as last.

All they care about is the final figure of money coming in v money going out. They dont care what it takes ti ensure there is more coming in than out.....even pissing off some fans

He'd want the money alright but would probably put it in a high interest account and spend it at the last minute, or say I tried to get the deal done but just couldnt get it over the line and hold onto it until January

They sold the three match package for £90 quid, the first qualifier was on the season ticket, so the £10 difference (vs £100 off season books) would be for the 2nd and 3rd qualifier home games.

From a marketing point of view it would seem more of a positive move "We are giving you all the Champions League games for free!" rather than "The quality of our league is ****, so we're cutting our prices!" - and it would make the Season Book actually look as if it contains some competitive football...

this would never work as you get too many manx tax dodgers who have no intention of going to anything other than champions league nights...

people would wait until champions league was confirmed before they would buy the thing and if we failed to qualify there would be a very low take up

Pay at the gate! £2.50 at the boys gate £5 at the normal gate. Under 8's can be lifted over the gate!

    And bring back Dziekanowski!
