9 games to go.
Predictions?
How many points do we need.
Only qpr and maybe Plymouth considered strugglers out of that lot.

I think we'll fall short behind Norwich, but not by much.

I think our run in could be better, but at the same time I think we'll be playing some teams with not a lot to play for by the time we get to them - Cardiff, Middlesbrough, Watford.

Its going to be close regardless I think. If we can keep avoiding losing, we'll have a chance - but also need to pick up wins, quickly.

Tbh that looks a bloody difficult run in, lot of them teams hitting form right now, would love to see us sneak in to 6th, but home form will ultimately see us just fall short I think.

Leicester and white shyte to go up autos, no idea in play offs, anyone's.

Whether we do it or not, it's still been a cracking season

Of those close to us.
Norwich have to go to: Stoke (fighting against relegation), Leicester (looking to secure 1 or 2), Sheff Wed (see Stoke), PNE (looking for a playoff spot), Birmingham (see Stoke). None of them easy, in fact difficult.
Home to Plymouth (fighting against relegation) Ipswich (looking to secure 1 or 2), then home to Bristol, and Swansea. I can see them getting minimum of 12 pts. We'll need 13 to pip them...
I'd be slightly more concerned about Coventry. They've got: Hudders A, Cardiff H, Leeds H, Southampton A, Birmingham A, Ipswich H, CITY H, Blackburn A, QPR H.
After losing to Stoke I hope PNE slide away, but get something home to Narwych.
Don't discount Mbro who may come with a late run.

The average points to secure 6th is 74, apparently, with 69 being the lowest in the last 10 years.

Our points per game this season suggests we - and Norwich - will end the season on 71 or 72 points.

So at least five wins needed.

We need 7 wins from 9th though I expect Norwich will pip us for 6th.

Leicester & Leeds Automatic
West Brom via the play offs.

Think we'll do a Blackburn and finish 8th after being in the top 6 for large parts of the season. Our away form is excellent but we drop too many points at home, especially from winning positions, and I think that will be the difference unfortunately. It's a shame because we'd be comfortably in the top 6th, maybe even above West Brom, if we won some of the games we drew at home that we probably should've won anyway.

Depends which City turn up for the last 9 games. If it's the City that played on Saturday V Leicester then we'll finish 6th - no problem. However, if it's the City that played Swansea a few weeks back then we'll finish 9th if we are lucky.

The results in the next 9 games are what matters, the results in the previous 37 are now largely irrelevant. We are in the mix, that's what the last 37 matches have delivered, they can now be largely forgotten as long as lessons from failures are taken on board.

Norwich have to go to Stoke (fighting relegation), home to Plymouth (fighting relegation), away to Liecester and home to Ipswich in the next 4.

Then away to shef massive (fighting relegation)...home to Preston (maybe still a glimmer of hope at that point).

Then
Bristol (nothing to play for)...Swansea (nothing to play for)

Then brum on the final day (relegation battle).

It's do-able. But we probably need 6 wins!

Back the Bid!

I reckon 74 points (or maybe 75 to allow for our inferior GD) will do it. So five wins and two draws. Getting a result against Coventry will help us, though I'm not convinced they will sustain their challenge anyway. And Norwich are far from an unstoppable force, they've had a very up and down season.

Strap in, it's gonna be a thriller!

We'll finish short. I'll need to find something else to do in London on 26th May.

I think we’ll finish 8th.

Stoke - win
Leeds - loss
Cardiff - draw
Middlesbrough - win
QPR - draw
Watford - draw
Coventry - draw
Ipswich - loss
Plymouth - loss

So just 10 points. Maybe Watford & Coventry, we might get wins, I just don’t see enough points overall.
