Before yesterday, I felt it was crucial to get 10 points from the next 4 games meaning it’s now 7 from three. This chart, I’m forgetting about Newcastle and Brentford, I think they’re pretty safe and playing well enough. Everton’s games in hand include Watford and Burnley that could become crucial.

Yesterday brings Watford right back into it… they play us, Brentford, Burnley and Everton at home.

everton have games in hand but the hardest run in.

important we get something on Friday… then marsch has a few weeks to work on the training ground.

Agree the two games after that are absolutely crucial. Southampton have gone from the form team to the out of form team…. Then we gave what will be a huge 6 pointer at Watford.

The only positive spin I can think of is: play like we did in the first half yesterday. Expect Raphinha to not hit the woodwork as much and to score more f the chances he missed from close in over the last 3 games. Expect Struijk to score from a corner instead of missing so many recently. Expect more of the same from Rodrigo and expect Bamford to start hitting the mark backed up by Joffy. Phillips to quarterback us to more points soon.

Three more wins needed. Beat Southampton (H) and Brighton (H) with the other win coming at either Watford (A) or Palace (A).

A point at Wolves on Friday would be a bonus and add momentum and confidence going into the mini break.

Need the necessary points before the last game at Brentford. The pressure of going there needing a result would be immense.

Watford are much better away from home. They've only got 7 points at home and even Norwich beat them 0-3 so that's a positive. Wolves also have slightly more points A than H. Southampton have hit a wall so we could be playing them at the right time. I also think Chelsea's troubles could have boiled up by the time we face them so the stars are hopefully aligning.

As much as I want Everton to go down, with the games they have in hand and thinking if Burnley beat them they’ll be one win away from swapping places, I think we need Everton to beat both Watford and Burnley?

Then again you wouldn’t bet on an Everton or Watford win on the final day of the season but Burnley at home to Newcastle is a possibility

Strategic draws could be the answer? or is that wishful thinking

true… though in general, norwich apart, there’s an argument they simply haven’t played the sh*t teams at home. And they’re likely a bit tougher under hodgson.

I suspect in these relegation battles, form often doesn’t count for much. It’s going to be a hide behind the sofa game.

Agree with you. Four points ahead of Watford and five ahead of Burnley. Need those two to keep dropping points. I don’t care who goes down as long as it’s not us.

I watched Brentford at the weekend. They weren't very good, Burnley deserved at least a point. I wouldn't be afraid of playing Brentford, we can defo get something from them on the last day, if we need it.
Let’s hope we don’t, I’m drinking enough as it is!!
