No end to this idiots delusion How bizarre, Joey Barton's insistence that he would never manage Sunderland. Barton, meanwhile, is fighting relegation at Bristol Rovers, having been sacked by Fleetwood. At the weekend, Rovers lost 1-0 at home to Sunderland. please log in to view this image Bristol Rovers boss Joey Barton's insistence he would never manage Sunderland was bizarre 'The red and white side of the North East don't like me,' said Barton. 'But deep down there's a side to them that secretly does and they'd want me to manage them. They just can't say that out loud because they know I'd reject them. As much as they want me, I could never do it.' Having rejected a job at a more successful club, that he's never been offered, never been linked with and never - to any public knowledge - even been considered for, we can only wait in trembling anticipation for the latest bulletin from Joey's world. In the meantime, a spokesman for Sunderland said: 'Huh?'
I’ve always got on well with geordies Mackems whatever they are mate. I wouldn’t inflict Barton on anyone Apart from Man U Liverpool Chelsea etc
I have good mates at a place called Ryhope, a few miles from Sunderland - they always give you a great night out and hospitality like you wouldn't believe. Mackems are a sound bunch.
On Monday a victory for us, the other two draw for me is the best possible result. Would give is 3 points on Peterborough and 5 on Sunderland.
I think Mondays game is going to be extremely difficult, Northampton are fighting at the bottom. Still time for some twists and turns.
Lots think, at the business end of the season, we should be strolling through games because "we're top of the league".....
They will likely setup to frustrate and come for a point. I would really rather place mid table. I fear a boring 0-0
It won't be a pretty game but I doubt it'll be 0-0. We've become pretty good at finding goals recently so unless something silly happens at the back I think we'll win 1 or 2 nil.
Barton and Leeds ? The perfect match. One individual with ideas above his station. One club with ideas above their station. Perfect, just perfect.
Leeds are a poorly supported club given the size of the place and its catchment area -it's a one club city ffs, the biggest in the country..
Add in that fact that a lot of their support comes from outside of Leeds (plastics) then their support is very poor indeed.
Great away day that was. Pre match we went in the albion pub ,i think it was called and got drinking with some of the lads in there.set off to the game arm in arm with the west brom fans. As good as it gets that away day
Maximum Easter pointage after textbook medium haddock & chips on Friday.. GD increased Rivals still with neckache from looking up Bon temps roulez.
come on you beat the posh and done us a great favour, nobody will turn us over either even Hull ! we are the biggest club outside the premier and now we will prove that in the coming years with our new owner.
Plus all the interest on the £60 million he put aside for transfers in the championship you will get for another year in league 1. Told you in another thread Blackpool will take at least 4 points off you and we will not lose to you, so you will finish in the playoffs then **** it up. You're the people who chase the train as it pulls away and just miss it.
