The Run In, Relegation Edition

I would like some of what you guys are smoking.

 

I’m pretty damn sure they wouldn’t want some of what you’re smoking.

Actually I better explain that as I now see it reads badly.. oops, sorry.

I was meaning that if you’re suggesting whatever they are smoking is making them seem too positive, then you’re the opposite.

All this talking of smoking made me walk outside, Brandy in the left hand and a lovely Cigar in the right. Cuban too, Very nice. And a school night.

I'm fairly sure at this stage that everything is pointing to us winning our last 4 games and finishing 10th.

I don’t think at this stage I could be accused of being negative. More realistic. Won’t give up until mathematically relegated but am prepared for it.

 

The way I see it. The only problem is that every time there is another must-win loss, there appears to still be a slim chance left. They shoot horses, don't they?

 

Yes you are being realistic. We all are.

My comment was tongue in cheek, as I thought yours was... you’re hardly known for spreading the joy

 

Stoke lose to Liverpool. We kick off after that and beat Bmouth. Swansea kick off after that and lose to Chelsea. Gap down to one point (and a healthy GD gap opened up in our favour).

Swansea draw Bmouth. We kick off afterwards and beat Everton. We move one point clear of Swansea (and a further increased GD gap).

We go to Swansea and win. Four points clear, survival secure. We all wonder what the fuss was about.

 

Now thats the smoking I want......

 

A slightly more realistic scenario is that we draw at Everton, whilst Swansea lose to Bmouth. That would see us go into the last day three points clear, and with a GD that is at least nine better. Possibly a lot more.

And then we spend the final 90 minutes of the season, watching Swansea and Man City respectively eating into that nine+ GD, whilst playing 7-3-0

 

with a GD that is at least nine better.

Seriously though, agree with your sentiments..... really, really can't afford anything less than a win vs B'muff.

 

I think we'll win this weekend but Swansea will either win or draw...Either way the agony will be prolonged
