Where and what did you study? Believe me, not your 'fault' in any shape or form. But the "Dell Boys" certainly did their bit! Even the bleak run of form did not stop the songs, applause and commitment to the battle to beat the drop.
It’s shame it’s not in our own hands... we will have to hope every result goes our way. The trouble even if All the teams around us keep losing, I just don’t see us winning any games Happy to be proved wrong!
It's easy, we beat Bournemouth and Swansea lose to Chelsea. That leaves us only 1 point behind Swansea with a better goal difference....and we still have to play them. We beat Everton, while Swansea lose to Bournemouth, then we beat Swansea, then the win over City becomes a formality. So we just have to win games of football. Oh.
Actually put like that it is fairly straightforward......have you considered mentioning it to Mr. Hughes?
If , as is looking likely , we get relegated . What's the betting we won't hear a peep from Les Reed until he takes his new job and then dishes the dirt on plenty of people except himself ?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0653hj8 Radio Solent discussing where it's all gone wrong. 20 minutes but worth a listen.
I've never been to Elland Road. Been meaning to put that right for years. And locally (to me) there's Loftus Rd and Griffin Park, two ****holes with a lot of character; who needs Highbury and Stamford Bridge? Just a shame Craven Cottage looks out of the question, but I went there in the Cup in January. It's an ill wind and all that...
However, I have been to Bolton so hoping they get relegated. And of course was delighted to see the chances of us meeting Pompey diminished at the weekend.
Say it quietly, but I would quite like pompey to be in the same division as us - just so long as they never ever finish above us, of course.
Unlike the last round of results, this round of results has somewhat gone in our favour. Swanse'a GD gets a killing. West Ham's gets a hit. Stoke fail to win a winnable home game. We get a point away to Leicester. Just a shame that Brighton and Palace also managed to pick up points. Overall then, nothing has really changed. Still the case the three wins almost certainly keeps us up, two wins and a draw (including a win vs Swansea) gives us a shout of staying up, and anything else sends up down.
Swansea v Chelsea Bournemouth v Swansea Swansea v Saints Swansea v Stoke Make of those fixtures but they are mighty tough especially on the back of a 5-0 defeat at City. Yes tbf you expect to get nothing against City but at this stage of the season that result could prove very decisive, their GD has taken a massive hit. I think they are under massive pressure to bounce back somewhere and tbh I’d be shocked if they get something positive against Chelsea, everyone has seen Bournemouth’s progress @ home especially and Saints have a pretty damn good record against Swansea,so for them it comes down to a shoot out with Stoke. As for Saints as I previously said against Bournemouth @ home imo couldn’t be a better game as I believe away from Dean court Bournemouth have a little bit of a soft underbelly, then we go to Goodison where we find Everton more than inconsistent,so on our day a positive result will Just set us up for the Swansea game. Man City @ home............well that’s purely a fingers crossed and hope day, hope their players maybe already on their holidays. Whatever happens it’s going to be one hell of a ride, buckle yourself in and let’s go for it.
The other plus with Man City is that if we still have a chance of staying up, then a couple of crunching tackles from Romeu, may, just put them off, as pretty much their whole squad will be going to The World Cup. ( Clutching at straws I know)
