It's funny we've been pretty much just as **** as before (in terms of results) yet we still think we've got a decent shout of staying up even though teams get further away from us. It's been all about these next 4 league games for a long time now, three wins and we stay up. Please Saints... We've been so close to escaping for so long and just not got any points when it's mattered.
This season has mirrored 2004/05 so much (apart from Hughes not being a **** like Redknob), novice manager doing all the damage before an experienced one comes in too late to save it and I think it will end in the same way unfortunately...
I've just realised how much of a joke it is that we could've had Jay Rodriguez and ended up with Carrillo (and out of pocket by £7m).
Mind you, if WBA hadn’t bought him, they wouldn’t have knocked Liverpool out of the cup and we wouldn’t be in the semifinal! Hey ho...
A lot of history repeating going on. Getting to a semi final, playing a Manchester on the last day, getting leap frogged by WestBrom & Liverpool winning the Champions League. Surely it can't all happen, can it?
In retrospect yes that looks silly. It was the right decision to sell JRod at the time though imo. Not replacing him in the summer was a mistake, and now seemingly, replacing him with Carillo doesn't look the best bit of business we've done. Still early days for Carillo mind you.
Expected more reaction to that tbh. I was one of the first on here to consider us in trouble but suddenly have a feeling in recent weeks that we might get out of it. Best Leicester and Chelsea and things will look better before Bournemouth visit. We might even get a long overdue win at your gaff
Stoke and WBA look buried to me, and after you collapsed on Saturday I thought the same about you lot tbh. However if you do a bit of a Lazarus in your next 2 games and if gifting you the 3 points at Goodison means the dildo brothers and their bubble blowing, coin chucking, wannabe East End, Essex bellwhiffs go down, you can have them for me
Yeah the head does sort of say that was the moment we ****ed but we've still got just enough games and one result changes every thing momentum wise. Just as likely that Bournemouth rock up and put the final nail in mind. And you stingy ****ers should give us the points regardless, it's been long enough lol and you lot ****ing hate Sam anyway
Don’t think we got to a semi-final last time though. United beat us in the quarters. That’s that sorted. We’ll stay up then ...
