Chelsea are the only home game sandwiched in that to be fair.

What I found pretty damning was that our top Scorer Austin, has started only 5 games.

What I find weird , is that there has been next to nothing from the powers that be , it's like people really don't care !

Obviously for sometime I've accepted that we're deep, deep in trouble. That has now notched up another level, sadly. It will change pretty much every week, and things could be looking a whole lot better for us in a week's time, but right now I'm seeing us and Stoke for the drop with WBA.

For different reasons, neither of us have the goals to beat those around us. Whereas everyone else, aside from maybe Newcastle, has shown they can.

We're not going down. Not if we keep playing like we did in the second half today.

We say that after every match, though. "We're too good to get relegated; just look at [insert 20-30 minute stretch where we were easy on the eye]".

At no point have we managed to do it for a full match, never mind doing it for a month of fixtures.

We're a better side away from home. Newcastle, West Ham and Arsenal are all winnable games.

We aren't actually a better side away from home; it's just that most teams are better at home, and we aren't, so the away performances look better by contrast.

Home matches: 16 points in 16, 16 scored, 21 allowed.
Away matches: 12 points in 13, 13 scored, 20 allowed.

We are though, even if the results up to now fon't show it. We play better football away from the **** atmosphere at St Marys, and we are better when we are up against teams who leave a bit of space in behind.

If we put in that performance every game from now, we will go down. It got us a point at home vs the third worst team in the league.

I haven't given up because so many teams are still in danger, but I find this season so strange. I don't know how we get so many draws....but can scarcely win a single league game. I feel like I'm in a life written by Sartre....locked in a circle of hell. :(

Furst half, maybe. The second half we totally dominated and if it weren't for an excellent display from Jack Butland, we'd have won. We lost this fixture last season.

That away point a Turf Moor looks a bit better now doesn't it?

Erm yeah Mcarthy made an excellent save and our best chance was Boufal's. Second half we dominated but really had very little attacking intent.

Watching Saints has been quite depressing at times this season. There have been afternoons at St Marys when I would rather have been at the dentist. But the day watching Saints is as joyless an experience as reading Sartre is the day I give up for good.

It's because expectations are lower away. We aren't actually good on the road, we're just less **** relative to expectations. Away draws feel like points earned; home draws feel like points dropped.

I'm guessing you were at the opposite end of the pitch from me? (I was in The Chapel). We had two attempts on their goal in the first minute. How Boufal missed that header from 3 yards out I don't know. Butland tipped a stinger from - Romeu was it? - past his left post. We showed plenty of attacking intent.

Edit - even Cedric got a shot on target

Yeah, okay, we'll agree on less ****. Though I actually think we are improving steadily. But we still can't score, which is a problem. Seem to have cut the catastrophic defensive blunders down though.

We'll be okay. I'm convinced. But we'll need to spend proper money in the summer.

Definitely didn't have any catastrophic blunders today, but it's a match where we didn't really create much either, against the league's worst defensive outfit. Boufal's header aside, this wasn't one where our finishing was the problem...there was very little to finish. A couple shots from outside the box, Sims' chances (one from a nearly impossible angle, the other a snap shot from the edge of the box), far too little in a match that we absolutely should have been playing to win.

We'll also have to see whether we can continue to avoid blunders against teams with any real cutting edge; neither Burnley nor Stoke are overburdened with attacking talent. West Ham is a real test there; they are appalling defensively, but quite capable of creating chaos on the other end.

Yeah, but the bad atmosphere. You're forgetting the bad atmosphere. We're actually a brilliant side, with a brilliant manager. But the atmosphere at home prevents the players from scoring, from creating a chance, from passing the ball forward, from starting with two forwards.

If we could play 38 games away, we'd be City. But the blooming home fans are going to send us down.
