Just improbable, unless a whole load of unlikely results go our way today!

Port Vale's final games are tougher than ours. FGR will probably struggle now, so I reckon there's a chance even if it's a big ask.

If we beat Vale it’s definitely on!

Although I personally expect Port Vale and us to draw on Monday, it's that time of the season when anything can happen, as Barrow showed us yesterday - who would have expected them to stick 4 past FGR? So for us to go there and do a smash and grab to bring 3 points home is a definite possibility.

Vale will be a tough game for sure. I can't see us winning this game.

The win vs Salford was important because if we do lose vs Vale, we are still in the top 7 positions.

Our last 2 promotions, our final league game in those 2 seasons were against...

    Already relegated Altrincham at home.

Already relegated Dag & Red at home.

Our last game of this season is...

Already relegated Scunthorpe at home <whistle>

I reckon it's between us and Sutton for 3rd place.

A fantastic effort so far - if we win our remaining three games then auto promotion is definitely on - it'll be between us, Sutton, Northampton and Vale - although one more slip by the Grecians will see them dragged back into the auto fight.

If we do win our last three games that will put us on 82 points which is five more than I originally predicted. All to play for and it's refreshing to be battling for promotion at the end of a season, for a change!

I predicted 75 points. Currently we are 4 points better off due to the point at Tranmere and the 3 points at Vale.

What I failed to point out.... 6th May 2000, already relegated Cardiff beat us which kicked us out of the play offs.

Dag & Red nearly stopped us more recently if it wasn't for Browners late late late winner.

I just hope it doesn't go wrong and we are relying on beating a already relegated Scunny.

Orient, v Northampton, Walsall v Port Vale, Barrow v Sutton, Stevenage v Tranmere

Not exactly the best fixtures to make ground on

Only Tranmere have a worst GD than us

To be fair, there's a few potential upsets there - Orient could hold Northampton to a draw, Port Vale fans seem very wary of their trip to Walsall, apparently Walsall are seen as a bogey team for Vale, I can see Barrow getting something from their game with Sutton maybe, and Tranmere aren't the team they were a few weeks ago, so anything could happen at Stevenage. As long as we do the business against the carrot crunchers tomorrow, we could see ourselves in a favourable position come 5.00pm. Keep the faith until it's totally washed away!!

Tonight's result: Newport 1 - 2 Colchester.. Well I guess that's Newport's season over now realistically. Their last 2 games are away to Port Vale and home to Rochdale. Be nice if they do us a favour at Port Vale, but it's hard to see.

If we win our last two games we could still make the autos. If Exeter and FGR are pushing for the championship, then they'll probably take care of our rivals.

We certainly can make the autos IF we win our last two games and IF other teams do us a favour v Vale, Northampton, Mansfield.

It's going to be tough but as long as the boys keep their end of the bargain, the football gods may just look upon us favourably.

We need one more win to guarantee a playoff place. Then we have the lottery of the playoffs and a possible trip to Wembley - I doubt there are many teams who want to face us right now.

It's certainly a hugely exciting end to the season - massive contrast to this time last year!

Four games Tuesday evening, Exeter v Barrow, Mansfield v Stevenage, Sutton v Crawley and Swindon v FGR. Hard to see anything other than home wins for all 4 when you look at the form table, but at this stage of the season, anything can happen, and anything other than home wins is good for us, so fingers crossed!!

Barrow, Stevenage and Crawley are in a bit of form, so I can see an upset or two. FGR must have an eye on winning the title too. Should be interesting.

Typical! You can't rely on anyone nowadays - all we can do is beat Rochdale and Scunthorpe (hopefully) and hope for the best. When you think of all those silly points we chucked away early in the season, this was always the risk that it would come back to haunt us, and here we are! Imagine how better placed we'd be with only a couple of extra wins under our belt!
