Apparently the Rugby League World Cup started today, currently watching Fiji v Australia who apparently are rather good..... Not seen a lot of publicity for this but it's being shown across the BBC.......

If anyone thinks that Rugby Union has a problem with high tackles and head injuries then Rugby League looks far worse......

BTW the Fiji players sang their National Anthem A Cappella and it was a wonderful thing......

Pity their RL isn't so good as they're losing 18-4

Rugby League is a far better watch than Union IMO.

I have a friend who lives and breathes the game, been to a few games with him. Live it's crazy....they just keep on playing when there's players down injured, with medics on the pitch

Check out the high tackles in the Australia v Scotland game at the womens World Cup. Australia won narrowly but had two players sent off for attempting to decapitate opponents. Footage on the BBC sports app.

Went to four silk cut finals at Wembley with Wigan and one with the London bronco's
Always a great day out

Solid win for Ireland over Jamaica....

Now NZ v Lebanon 6-6 after 20 minutes....Lebanon giving a good account of themselves......

F**k me the NZ number 16 comes in with a swinging arm and almost knocks the Lebanon lad into next week and then a few minutes later does a judo throw on a player and neither time gets any sanction from the ref..........
