I've been in there a few times Taff Mainly for dinner as a group with couples as opposed to just having a drink. We go to the Angel further back up the Portsmouth Road for that.
Hopefully Wales will have secured their semi final spot before we tog out tomorrow evening. Come on the NH
Me and the missus have stayed overnight there a good few times. Lots of times before covid, and the food and drink was always good, the 2 times we stayed there since and there are new landlords(Spanish I think), the food was still very good but the drinks had gone downhill badly. Huge gin selection but no cognacs at all and just the 1 brandy, Three Barrels ! I had the malbec which was passable
Just off to walk the dog then settle in to a long afternoon/evening of the rugby. Quarter final weekend is the best bit of this tournament, the games are all big, they run nearly back to back, and there’s no playing for penalties by the weaker teams in rugby. Logic says the Irish can’t choke yet again at the last eight stage. Or does it?
Watching Ireland in some no doubt **** Irish pub later after going to the big Bulgaria v Lithuania dead rubber. Any good songs other than shouting “up the ‘ra”?
Right…. I’m starting to get nervous already, so off to the pub. Best of luck to wales, I’ll be shouting for ye. tonight is the night baby……
Welsh score, numbers falling off their backs for some reason and Dan Biggar looks knackered…..plus ref goes off injured. All happening. 10-0 huge respect for Gatland, this team were **** a few months ago.
