I would like to think of myself as a straight down the middle, normal bloke but I am struggling with the race issue.

Even now with all the press, I struggle with her being defined as a "woman of colour".

I worry about Harry as he is clearly ginger and being the dad to 2 ginger kids I fell I'm allowed to be concerned.

I'm struggling with the mention of Harry's funds being cut off, he's over 18 and should be supporting himself and his family

 

So there has been no evidence of racism? Just folk assuming the negative press is because of her skin colour and not because of her character?

And not because she's a whining attention seeker who married her first husband so she could become an actress ...

... and the second so she could stop being an actress.

It's all about the money, money, money ...

 

I don't believe you'll ever see a newspaper being directly racist in the 21st century. So if that's all that will be accepted as evidence we might as well declare this a racist free country.

I'm as much against making every incident out to be racist as much as the next man. However, for all she has her dramas and is far far from perfect, I think it's incredibly naive to suggest that she has been treated the same as Kate Middleton who is a white posh girl.

The same happened with Diana when she dared to shack up with a Muslim bloke.

The Royals do seem to have a dislike for anybody who isn't white. They do tend to be treated differently. Nobody can prove if that is racism, or not, though.

It's obvious, though.

 

Do they, what do you base that statement on?

 

Got bored of it eventually but I agree she is worth the watch. Markle was made out to be the attractive one but Donna or the woman who plays her is so much better.

 

My mate married a 'white' lass whose father was black, and when she became pregnant its all everybody talked about, she even got the midwife to explain to her about colour skipping generations, and how she could give birth to a white baby who could then go on to have black children, because of its genes. There was no racist element to the conversations, in fact we talked about the various 'shades' of colour possibilities, hair types, the lot. I expect this conversation has happened in millions of families across the globe, so how it 'shocked' Oprah Winfrey I'll never know! It seems so americanised to turn it into a living soap opera, I'm sure Megan will become the 'Queen of the USA' for a while, until they get bored of it all and move on to something flashier and trashier. Probably be able to get a bet on the colour of the new bairn she's expecting, what price a black baby with ginger hair?

 

Some pretty weird stuff going on with some of their claims. The one about the colour of the baby, she says it happened when she was pregnant, he says it was before they were married. You'd think they'd remember when something like that happened, it was obviously a big deal to them. Not that I believe it happened at all but that's by the by.

Also the sincere claim that they got married three days before the wedding but with only one witness, granted it was the Archbishop of Canterbury but even if it was Jesus himself you still need two witnesses for it to be legal.

All a bit suss.

 

Should be a balanced view on everything.....they had two hours with Oprah.....so let them have two hours with Piers Morgan. They played to the Hollywood crowd here in LA. Whatever issues you have in family life they should be sorted within the family. I would never go with the wife bitching and moaning on tv about her life in a 15 million dollar mansion. ffs.....maybe my council house upbringing has given me a different perception of what is tough. Harry lad grow some balls.....if she hasn't taken them already.

 

My 'funds' were cut off when my Dad died young of 'pit lung' and left us with piles of debt after years of being an alcoholic.

To be fair he'd been shot in Sicily and blown up in Egypt ...

... not during WW2, though, it was on adventure holidays
