Geoffrey Hughes who played Eddie Yates in Corrie in the 70's and 80's has died from Prostate Cancer aged 68. He made numerous appearances in other shows, including the parts of Onslow in Keeping Up Appearances and Twiggy in the Royle Family. Another gifted comedy actor leaves us in this awful year !

Loved Gene Wilder...in fact my Hubbie when younger was the splitting image of Gene Wilder....when younger
He was a comic genius..with such a sad life...his wife died of cancer very young. So sad. RIP...the man who made me laugh so much

He made so many great films, Willy Wonka was always my favourite though.

Young Frankenstein one of the best comedies ever made, loved it from a very young age and now own it on various formats (a collection geek thing).
'See no evil, here no evil' also one of my favourites, great memories from a one of a kind actor.
