We were in a French car club together. The other day she asked what I’d be bringing to the next meet. I said “a Renault, Cleo”.

Mark Lazarus has died. The club informed us he was very ill last week. So not unexpected.

So sad one of my original heroes.

One of our greats, he was an integral part of the club when Dad first started bringing me to matches, a true stalwart. I fondly remember the 1967 League Cup Final at Wembley when Dad and I were crying in our beers 0-2 down at half-time wondering how we could ever get back in the match against 1st Division WBA.

Yes, both of the Morgan twins are still with us, our double trouble on the wings. Dave Clement was a sad one. He and Ian Gillard (still around?) paired up as excellent full backs.

It's a bit of a ****hole though....I did a load of work all around the city a few years back, and most of it's grim....and don't get me started on that accent!!

You may not like the accent but I like it that we still have regional accents in this country.. trouble is give it 20 years and they will all sound very different
