I see that Searching for Sugarman is on TV.

Not sure if Rodriguez was mentioned here but he died in August this year.

if anyone doesn’t know the story, the film is well worth a watch.

Australian journalist John Pilger, who spent most of his professional life in Britain working for publications such as the Daily Mirror, has died at the age of 84.

Pilger, who made his name as a foreign correspondent, reported on some of the 20th century's most important world events, including the Vietnam War and the death of Martin Luther King in the United States.

RIP <rose>

There is an incredibly negative obituary of Pilger in today’s Times. It seems to me that he highlighted a lot of real issues and injustices but had zero journalistic integrity and took himself and his inflexible and dated opinions very seriously indeed.

RIP Patricia. My mother in law passed away at 2am this morning from cancer. It was secondary stage 4 in the duodenum and bowel. She was a cracking lady, and very classy, always quick with a quip. Been awful seeing her the last few months, cut her down to nothing. **** disease. Rest easy now Pat, no more pain. See you in another life ! Xx

Very sorry to hear it, HB. She sounds like she was a great lady. Personally I'm in favour of Dignity in Dying which would at least have given her the option of not having to endure the final unforgiving weeks/months.
