A fantastic player of his era. Always thought of him as having a great ‘engine’ and work ethic on the pitch.

RIP Colin, he was a proper footballer, massive engine, scored goals, changed games. Hugely underrated.
Colin Bell was the driving force of the Man City side built by Mercer & Allison, just about the complete midfielder. Biggest compliment I could pay him is he'd have walked into Pep's team in this era. RIP...
Another Great passed away, the trouble is he was only 8 years older than me, we have lost a good few in the last few weeks

Sad news following Michael Angelis last year, two of the characters in Boys from the Blackstuff, one of the great series of the 80s. RIP...
Over Christmas they showed a pre BFTBS pilot called The Black Stuff The film Images had all the crackles on it. It was set in Sunderland and They got ripped off by Gypsies. Classic seeing Yosser and Loggo. I will never forget that show, bloody brilliant!
Bleasdale was a genius back then. “GBH” still ranks as one of my all-time favourite series.
Totally agree, Bleasdale showed the poverty/class/depravity and feelings of the time... all caught it one shoot.

The ‘Up’ series was groundbreaking and a fascinating study of the lives of a broad demographic over many, many years. I found the nature versus nurture angle of the series very interesting... you can neither escape your genes nor you circumstances that easily.
Nicky Booth, an extremely talented boxer who really should have had a long career at the very top, dead aged 40. A sad waste of life and talent.
