I'm not really surprised, he dodged the grim reaper a couple of years ago when he had a serious strain of pneumonia. I had him down as a favourite for 2017. He was a very good performer and singer song writer in the early days but he went off the rails ages ago crashing his cars via drink and drug driving through central London. There was something not right with him.

It's kind of ironic that he died today on his 'Last Christmas.'

My apologies in advance to any George Michael fans who may be offended by that post.

My thoughts exactly, the life style he led in the last few years, he was never gonna grow into old age.

Just heard this news and, like Nines says, not totally shocked by this. A fantastic talent that has been on a downward spiral for many years now. A shame so many who rise so quickly find the burden of fame too much. RIP George...
 
Not a surprise.

He had a brilliant voice, being one of the few who could sing Freddie Mercury songs. An excellent song writer too.
