Tom Petty 21.10. 1950 - 02.10. 2017 Sad day for rockmusic. I was fortunate to see Tom Petty& Heartbreakers once in Stockholm 2012, that concert was maybe the best where i have ever been. Great man, great music and great memories. R.I.P.

One of my all-time favourite QPR players. Fantastic defender and one of our all-time greats. RIP
Shamelessly stolen from the Beeb.... Sean Hughes in his own words I went to the hospital with my psoriasis. They gave me a DVD of The Singing Detective and said "Good luck with your life". I went into one of those cheesy bars the other day. Or a delicatessen as you'd call it. I thought when I was 41, I would be married with kids. Well, to be honest I thought I would be married with weekend access. I know that the English always say that Irish pubs are so friendly. Let me tell you something: we don't even know you're there. You know city centre beat officers? Well, are they police who rap? Everyone grows out of their Morrissey phase. Except Morrissey.
RIP Sean Hughes.....this brought a wee lump to the throat - not sure when he wrote this, but very touching in his own way....
I have that book. It has a bit on how to steal said book. I think it was written mid 90s. I am quite choked by this one - a hero of mine in my formative years. Rip Sean.
I loved Seans Show - many a time I staggered in from a night out and he would be on C4 (? - or was it Beeb2?) chatting to God or whoever would listen to him - this has certainly shocked me as he is only a couple of years older than myself.....
I only remember bits of it (was it Samuel Beckett leaving answer machine messages? Elton Wellsby wanting borrowed items back and the old couple in the pub) but it was quirky and very funny.
Here you go - first episode of Season 2 - they seem to all be available on YouTube if you want to catch up (I'm sure C4 will re-run them soon!!)
Fortunate to have met Sean Hughes at a comedy gig a few years back. He was giving away stuff during the show, i got a cd by The Rezillos. After the gig i caught him for a chat and got the cd cover signed. He was just the same onstage as off - very funny, very sincere and very cool. RIP Sean, too young and too soon...
