Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian PM who bounced back from sex scandals and corruption allegations, has died aged 86. He died at the San Raffaele hospital in Milan, according to Italian media. In April he was treated for a lung infection linked to a previously undisclosed case of chronic leukaemia. A flamboyant billionaire media tycoon, Berlusconi first came to office in 1994 and led four governments until 2011. RIP
RIP Berlusco. A crook, a liar, a former cruise ship crooner, he was a very good (dodgy) businessman, he funded (but to nothing like the extent that happens now) the great AC Milan team. Utterly unrepentant, flamboyant to the end - a competent Boris Johnson. Also a creature from a different age.
Cormac McCarthy, author most famous for The Road and No Country For Old Men has died at the age of 89.
A was fine actor and a good person. Life can often be so unfair. The good die young and the Barstewards live long & corrupted….. look at Bunga Bunga man.
This is all over Twitter. Agree, very sad. He was immense for QPR in the 1970's and always came across as a thoroughly likeable and decent guy RIP
