At 60 this year, l've always been for the Monocacy of old.
Don't know whether l can handle the young ones ............ time will tell, but Prince Phillip, with all his thoughts in general, regardless of what people thought of him, he was one of a kind. For the best part of 100 years, you have served us well........... thank you indeed.

Sad to hear this. My father was the bar manager at the Waldorf Hotel and met him many times as there were often banquets held at the hotel. He said he always had time to chat with staff and was very much 'life and soul' of such occasions. Can't fault his loyalty and service to the Queen who is having another pretty awful year. RIP...
I just listened to someone on TV who knew him for over 60 years and basically said the same and that he was a top fella to be with.

Very sad news for Her Majesty and of course all the family. Like us all he had his faults, but loyalty and service were not one of them - both firstly to his wife and secondly to his country.

Thank you for your service Phillip and all our thoughts will be with hoping Elizabeth can cope with her loss after so many years of your amazing company and support.
RIP Philip <rose>
