Condolences Peter, look after yourself.
Chuck Yeager, first man to fly supersonic, has died age 97. He had done more by the age of 24 to fill several lifetimes, and didn’t stop then. The Right Stuff indeed.
Now this does make me sad - the World Cup in 1982 was the first one I remember England being involved in, and it would never have been the same without this performance....RIP Paolo Rossi
Paolo Rossi: Italy's 1982 World Cup hero dies aged 64
Rossi was an awesome player.
That year the Brazilians were red hot favourites and Italy had scraped through their group but on the day they actually took on the Brazilians with sharp counter-attacking and Rossi took advantage of their defensive shortcomings to score a brilliant hat-trick and they never looked back. The tournament made him a god in Italy. 64 is a youngish age to go, RIP...
Rossi was definitely one of the greats. RIP Paolo
RIP Barbara windsor
I'm sure I'm not alone, but pretty sure she was one of my first crushes!
Sad news again to start the day, lovely character & will be sadly missed, RIP Babs
A great star.
They're all going!!
Jim Dale is 85. Perhaps the last regular Carry On star?
An icon in her time. Can never forget her interactions with Sid James (and the Carry On gang). Brilliant. RIP Babs.
was thinking this thread has been busy lately. Sad times
Dale is incredibly talented.
Saw him in the lead in Me and my Girl on Broadway back in the 80s.
Another national treasure
Sad news, I used to go the BBC bar before the games and met with her a few times always up for a laugh and a drink; a fun lady on and off screen.
RIP Babs (not sure what happened with the IT above)
Bernard Cribbins is still around... he did a few ‘Ons.
