Someone doesn't agree with you....
BBC News presenter Jane Hill has revealed she complained to the cinema after going to watch Oppenheimer and finding that the sound-track drowned out the dialogue.
The newsreader, 54, said she left half-way through after failing to follow what was going on because she couldn’t hear what the actors were saying. And she was astonished to be told by cinema staff that it happened with “all” the films by Christopher Nolan, which include Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and Interstellar.
She told her 44,000 Twitter followers: “Saw Oppenheimer. Well, managed half of it. Disappointed that music & effects often drowned out the actors, I missed whole chunks of dialogue. Told the cinema I thought the sound needed rebalancing - staff said ‘we have this issue with all Christopher Nolan films. Seriously?”
Personally, I had no issues when I saw it last week.
I saw Oppenheimer on the day it came out a few weeks back. I too found it difficult to follow the dialogue with the voice sound seeming drowned and fuzzy.
I thought it was well acted but hard going with little action, lots of talk and continued switching through time zones.
After 2 and a half hours or so, my bladder got the better of me and I went to the toilet. This coincided with possibly the only action of the film as the selfish ba5tards had chosen to bomb Japan whist I was having a pi55.
I suppose I’d recommend it for the spectacle and the acting but I wasn’t hugely entertained and found it all a bit draining, if I’m honest.

Just watched That Peter Crouch Film on Netflix, a documentary following Crouchie's career in football and after. Really enjoyable and the big man comes across as just the very likeable fella you would expect. A good antidote to today's fiasco.
Yeah. I found his relationship with his father interesting. His dad seemed to have been incredibly pushy and Crouchie appeared to resent that somewhat, even though he possibly wouldn't have made it without his father's demanding influence. Whisper it, but Redknapp comes out of it quite well.
Watched it today. You can still see the impact on him of some of the personal things written about him and said in commentaries for matches. It’s pretty brutal. Fair play to him though for battling on and getting his 100 premier league goals. I know he has said his time at QPR were some of his favourite times but the film made it sound like we all laughed at him (rather than opposition fans). Was an interesting watch and as always good to see the underdog pull through and make a success of themself. Well done Crouchy. Nice Mrs too

Apparently they were on a show and both took an IQ test as part of who was better in certain departments. He scored surprisingly high while she scored below average. To be taken with a pinch of salt as most of these tests are.
Anyone else watching Wolf on BBC ? Watched the first 3 parts on IPlayer and its very surreal and gory. Decent cast but very dark, so crazy I need to see the rest of it now !

Not me. I thought for a moment that they'd been on at Hyde Park with the Stones in 1969, but having looked it up it was Alexis Korner's band that I'd been thinking of. Not the same at all. I've seen them on TV, which I enjoyed, but never really gave them much attention otherwise. I'll have to check out the Jacques Brel thing.
