Staycation and a **** again for me this year.
I find the whole concept distressing. We're at the Junior Disco now for ****'s sake! I'm going to have to drink gallons of the ****e booze to get pissed enough not to care any more. This whole week is going to be a real trial for me. The grandkids had better ****ing appreciate my sacrifice. Not so much for you, but the kids will love Senhor Frogs. Been a few years since we were there, but the pizzas were bang on.
All inclusives are great if you've got kids or are a raging alkie, but the food is generally ****e and the bevvie watered down pish so we always go self catering nowadays
You can see the 2014 film version on Apple TV and it’s in the Sky Store. Stars Ethan Hawke, Ed Harris and Dakota Johnson amongst others. Not well reviewed……

You made the right choice, much better to be a martyr to the hoops for life !Hmmm….maybe I will then.
Just starting to watch the 2 part series called “Turkey : Empire of Erdogan”. A brutal but very clever man who lets nothing stand in his way. Changed the direction of Turkey from a secular state to a more Islamist one, with traditional values. A must watch for anyone interested in geo-politics.
Gets my memory going back to my ex girlfriend, who lived in Besiktas and the rows we had sometimes when I talked about the Armenian Genocide and the appalling atrocities committed by her country…..which she vehemently denied ever happening and stated it was all a myth, made up by haters of Turkey.
I was gonna convert to Islam to be with her……funny old world

Watched Part 1 last night - very interesting
I had some great Turkish colleagues in my old job. They were all appalled by Erdogan, but said it was really difficult to voice that opinion within the country. Looks like he could be in trouble at the upcoming election though, the economic situation is blamed on him. Of course he’s purged the army and judiciary, so might just fix the whole thing.Hmmm….maybe I will then.

Istanbul is a brilliant city.
Didn't realise he'd been jailed...came out stronger for it though...took down the major players then the military before assuming control from his pal...ruthless, the commentators.in the program are quite at odds with how he wants to be portrayed. Episode 2 will be interesting
Fulll on Brit abroad this afternoon. Me and the son-in-law going to an Irish bar to watch a 3 o'clock game. Lapping up the local culture.Nitemare
Years ago we turned up at a complex and were greeted by some dude dressed in a dog mascot costume and a couple of over-happy reps....they turned to my son who was about three, had shoulder length hair, no front teeth and wearing a Ramones T-shirt, and asked him if he wanted to go to the kids disco that night.....his reply (and the look on their faces) is now a family legend.....he asked them if they would be playing Arctic Monkeys or AC/DC
Needless to say, we took him along anyway and he hated it....didn't go back!

Spot on.Football shirts on, hankies on head, sunburnt to ****? Drinking guinness instead of the local brew?
Should have gone on an all inclusive cruiseSo, the Irish bar turned out to be fine and we cracked on with a stag party from Cardiff all of whom seemed cool. Suitably tuned up, my son-in-law suggested we go to the football pitch when we got back to the hotel. ****ing A, I thought - stupidly. I went in goal first and he proceeded to bombard me with rockets, any of which could have taken my head off, but few threatened me or the goal, thankfully. Then it was my turn and I thought I'd return the favour, putting so my into my first effort that I pulled a groin. ****ing agony. I'm 69 next week for ****'s sake!
