Only trouble is it always comes down to 1 or 2 experts opinions. There were and are some seriously good forgers about, and without 100% provenance, no one can ever fully be sure. Enjoyable programme never the less, and now in its 10th series !

That's disappointing. I just turned on Naked Attraction only to find it's been replaced by stuff about the Queen.
 
Stewart Lee has launched an entertaining attack on Ricky Gervais, who true to form has responded. My money is on Lee (who has been known to exaggerate for comic effect), although of course the whole thing could be a put on they have cooked up together.

Having just listened to the podcast where he makes the comments I’m pretty sure he was just having fun. His shows (or two halves of a show) Snowflake and Tornado are going to be shown on the BBC soon. I saw him do them in Birmingham the night before lockdown started, stopping his tour halfway through. Brilliant, although some might prefer a milder comedian.

Wasn't Snowflake on last week? I certainly watched a Stewart Lee show on BBC recently and seem to remember him being quite rude about Ricky Gervais (can't be entirely sure because I had drink taken). I normally like Lee a lot but was quite disappointed with this. What sticks in my mind (vaguely) is him making some gibberish noises over and over again for way too long, but I can't remember the context.

(Not much of a review really)

Watching it now, changed a lot from the early 2020 version. The noises was him as Ricky Gervais attempting to ‘say the unsayable’. Repetition to an incredible and patience testing degree is a Lee speciality, and it is patience testing - but did you get the mumsnet punchline?

No, I can't remember the punchline. Can't remember much at all really, so should probably watch it again.

I think I might have watched it when I got in on Friday night (or Saturday morning actually) after spending all day in the pub when we should have been at the cricket.

You need your wits about you with Stewart. My face is aching after watching that.
 
Just back from taking the dog out. Such a beautiful time of day to walk in the woods, with a stunning orange sunset in the distance and the dusk light playing all kinds of tricks on the eyes.

Just back from the local pub - has been a lovely time to watch the visiting grockels at the feeding hole.
A lovely Sunday roast with a vessel or two (or more) of fermented apple juice and the night has begun to play tricks on my eyes. :emoticon-0100-smile

Crossfire with Keeley Hawes. Saw the last 30 minutes or so of people running and hiding in a hotel. What a croc of ****.

It's loosely based on what happened in Tunisia, so while the plot may look contrived it's handy to remember that these atrocities do happen. God forbid being in that sort of situation.
 
Inside Man- Daft, hilarious, ridiculous or sublime ? Make your own minds up. Fair to say that Stanley Tucci is superb in it though. I think it's enjoyable and if somewhat far fetched still very darkly funny with some excellent acting.
