Best gig I saw in HK was New Order at the Canton Club, essentially a disco/nightclub, in 1985. I must have lost 20% of my (then negligible) body weight it was so hot. A far superior Manc band to Oasis.
Don't know the Canton Club mate? In TST? I was in the China Jump the infamous night of Gazza in the Dentist Chair. Was a pretty wild night, my ex slapped Ray Parlour for trying it on in the taxi queue Happy Days
I was in HK for three weeks at the end of 1995....****ed if I can remember the name of any bar, it was a total blur. Most I can remember is that we had decent digs as my ex's father was a colonel who was overseeing the new airport project. New Years Eve on top.of the Officers Mess was a hoot for a scrote like me, fab views across the harbour
Yeah, I think it was in Harbour City, but the old smaller version rather than what I am told is now an enormous mega mall.
Any one got pub recommendations in Oxford - city centre and easily walkable from there? Speculative pub crawl planned for Monday, hampered only by lack of local knowledge. Decent beer top priority, if that coincides with Morse locations fine, if not also fine.
So Oasis break the internet...I went on to see if I could get tickets for my son...all websites I usually use crashed...he's now 77000th in a queue
My daughter said that she was on Ticketmaster for hours and gave up, then went on Gigs and Tours and got through in about ten minutes. Not sure if that's any help, though. Probably just got lucky.
Do you think we're going to have to suffer a whole year of low-rent TV presenters crowbarring Oasis references into their broadcasts?
