Southampton are beating Arsenal 1-0, and it has to be the most school boy, complacent, lazy defending ever seen in the premier league. It's a shame Wenger seems committed to trolling his own fans as much as possible, because the Saints have virtually 0 quality. Basically looks like a free 3pts so far. The Arsenal fans must be close to doing a West Ham!
Can we can this sort of talk until AFTER our game next week please? I'm hoping they struggle but win today and then are pushed hard midweek in russia prior to our match. They still have the quality to turn us over if they can be bothered.
On the bench Arsenal have: So we can assume they are playing a full strength side on Thursday. Best time to play them next weekend.
With so many empty seats at their sell out stadium I’d say they are currently doing more of a 5under1and.
It's 2-1 now, but they have been pretty bad. I reckon we'll destroy them if we play as we have been doing. I hope this Reiss Nelson plays, the young starlet has had a shocker.
The Final Countdown Games To Go: 6 Current Position: 10th Current Points: 38 Points Required To Avoid Finishing Bottom : 0 please log in to view this image Points Required To Avoid Finishing 2nd Bottom: 5/18 Points Required To Avoid Relegation: 9/18 Points Required To Finish 14th (average prediction at season start): 15/18 Points Required To Finish Top Half: 16/18 Points Required To Finish Above Sunderland: Highest Possible Finish: 6th Lowest Possible Finish: 19th
Points Probably Needed to Avoid Relegation: I'd say zero. Southampton would have to gain 10 points in 6 games to catch us, which is over 1.5 per game. They have been averaging 0.875 per game. Also, everyone from 17th upwards would also have to pick up points. (Gods officially tempted)
Mate we're out the mire for certain. Not only would Southampton have to catch us, every team between us would also need to find an unparalleled amount of form at the same time. Even if Southampton somehow makes it, some other ****s going down, and it's not us! By the way, I'll confirm it with Fredor, but think these may be stats in your comment? Either way, you will know by some long-winded explanation as to why stats are meaningless but made-up facts aren't!
I may be wrong, but I think it will turn out that we had enough points before the Leicester game (cos of goal difference). I'm predicting third bottom to be on 35 points at the end of the season. Despite what Rafa says, I think we're definitely already safe now.
No - because in your last update you said we needed 9pts to escape relegation but now you say we are safe. I look at the table and see us only 3pts behind Everton with a game in hand and a better goal difference and still to play them.
I'm a geek. I like to celebrate the milestones when we reach them. Hoping we'll have a couple more in our own hands before too long.
