And we all know beating Arsenal can only be done by a world class manager... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/league_cup/7749865.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/9462367.stm
I'm not even sure what point you're trying to make. You use one single Southampton victory as evidence of it making Koeman good, then when I use two victories to back up Coyle's credentials you say a one-off can happen to anyone. Be consistent at least. I don't rate Coyle in the slightest, but using one game proves absolutely nothing. Even a whole season proves nothing. Most things football related should be rated over a much longer period of time. Say... 10 years?
Dropping Cazorla would be heartbreaking, not to mention stupid as he's currently our second best performing player right after Sanchez. Assuming everyone was 100% fit (ha) and playing as well as they can I'd probably go: --------------Chezzers------------- --Debuchy--Mert--Kos--Gibbs-- ----------Arteta--Ramsey--------- -----Santi------Özil------Sanchez ----------------HFB----------------- Obviously it can easily be mixed up depending on who you are playing and has some serious pace on the bench.
I can see your frustration but I think he is one of our best players. When it will *click* for him then he will be leathal.
AOC has improved for me this year. Used to annoy/frustrate the hell out of me but that's down by at least 40%!
Well Southampton are above us and they have just beaten us, so it's not 'one game'. You think Wenger is ****, I guess Koeman must be better, right ? I don't rate Coyle either. That's why I said it was a good job that Arsenal didn't listen when some people were saying that he'd make good manager for Arsenal (along with MON, Redknapp, Alladyce, Martinez etc)
All attack! --------------Chezzers------------- --Debuchy--Mert--Kos--Gibbs-- ----------Ramsey--Santi--------- -----The Ox------Özil------Walcott ----------------Sanchez-----------------
I would have Arteta or Wilshere over Flamini. But I agree we need to try and fit Ozil and Carzorla in there together.
Do you not think you will miss not having a Centre Forward? Walcott and Sanchez do their best work running from outside the area, surely you need someone there for them to interact with?
I think the best way to get all three - Sanchez, Ozil and Walcott to play well is having a good enough focal point of a CF. Giroud for me does that. But this means playing Ozil in his usual position of CAM and not on the left. Also our midfield is looking rather lightweight if we have both Ozil and Cazorla playing together. We need a strong, dynamic and powerful DM to make that work, but we haven't got that so we can only play the one in midfield. When everyone is fit: Sanchez----------Giroud------------Walcott ------------------------Ozil--------------------- ------------Arteta------------Ramsey-------
I am allowed to pick 12 players ? You're probably right. I think Giroud is best placed at CF as he provides some great link up play and has a decent scoring rate for us also. It would probably mean leaving Santi out and having Sanchez on the left, Walcott on the right and Ozil sitting just behind.
i think we would let in a lot of goals playing 3-1-2 against 4-4-2 even Wenger would play some defenders
