First 15 they had a lot of possesion in there own half which wasnt goin anywhere, we had a couple of counter attacks and looked threatening both times. Since we have been totally on top and should be 1- 0 up if not more.Dunn,Ibe,Petersen,McLaughlin all look v good.
Chelsea catch us on the counter and look to be clean through until Jordan Lussey comes in with a perfectly-timed sliding challenge. Top class.
TBH its quite defensive set up we are using with the 3 CMs all more defensive than attackin, but its workin we have been very good, if we havnt scored at 60 think either Branagan or Rossiter will get hooked, with Trickett or Sinclair on
Earlier on today, Liverpool's Under 21's took on West Bromwich Albion Under 21's at the Academy. Here is the match report from the 2-0 victory: Another solid three points by all accounts. Gives us two straight wins after the victory over Arsenal Under 21's on Monday. That result does also move us up to 2nd in the Elite Group on 20 points from 11 games. With three sides qualifying from our group, we are in a good position at the moment after a slight wobble in recent weeks.
Liverpool Under 18's are in West London tonight to take on Chelsea Under 18's in the second leg of the F.A Youth Cup semi-final. Chelsea lead 2-0 from the first leg and the game is live on LFCTV and ITV4. Kick-off is at 7.45PM. I'll get the two teams up here in a minute...

Fulton; Baio, Cleary, Jones, Maguire; Trickett-Smith, Lussey, Rossiter; Dunn, Sinclair, Peterson. SUBS: O’Hanlon, Crump, Brannagan, Burke & Whelan.
1-0 to Liverpool on the night and 2-1 to Chelsea on aggregate. Peterson cuts in from the left-hand side, skips past a couple of Chelsea defenders and slots it past Beeney in the Chelsea goal. Game on!
Torn apart on the counter. We've been done too many times on the right-hand side and it comes from that side once again. Chelsea dispossess us on their 18-yard line and push forward... Chelsea then play a lovely ball into the right-hand side and the ball is crossed into the box for Swift to steer into the net. Good counter-attacking goal from a neutral point of view but a massive blow for us. 1-1 on the night & 3-1 to Chelsea on aggregate.
And the tie is over. 2-1 to Chelsea now and 4-1 on aggregate. Corner comes in and Nathan Ake loses his man and has about 4 square miles of room in the box to head the ball home.
Half-Time: Chelsea Under 18's 2-1 Liverpool Under 21's. (4-1 on aggregate) - Good half of football with Liverpool starting well. Good pressing which was giving us the ball in the Chelsea half and we were getting towards the Chelsea goal and creating chances. Good work by Peterson to give Liverpool the lead as he cut in from the left-hand side, skipped past a couple of Chelsea defenders and steered the ball home. Gave us some hope of a comeback but Chelsea have responded well. I feel our pressing game and the high line that the defence is taking is giving Chelsea chances and they have exploited the right-hand side well. Lots of their moves coming down that side towards Maguire at left-back and that is where Chelsea's first goal came from. Impressive counter-attack as Chelsea got the ball quickly to the right-hand side and the ball was played into Swift who was able to steer the ball home. Chelsea continued to dominate and poor marking on a corner gave Nathan Ake a goal and that should see Chelsea go through. Despite the scoreline, it has been a good game. Lots of good players on show!
Second half is now underway. We only need three goals without reply to force the game to extra-time... How hard can it be?
Right, I haven't been on here too much in the past month or so and this thread hasn't really been updated. So here's an update on what's been happening at Under 21 and Under 18 level of late. First of all, the Under 21's. Their most recent game was on Monday as they travelled to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United Under 21's. Here is the match report from that game: That result meant that Liverpool Under 21's finished third in the Elite Group, three points behind Manchester United and eight behind Tottenham Hotspur. This therefore means that Liverpool & Manchester United will play each other again in the semi-final. That game is scheduled to take placed on Tuesday and will kick-off at 7PM. LFCTV will be showing the game. - Onto the Under 18's now and their season ended last Saturday with a 2-0 defeat away at Sunderland. Here is the match report from that game: A disappointing end to the season for the Under 18's and they won't play again this season as they didn't do enough to qualify for the latter stages. Still positives to take out of the season though!
